Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Bat Goddess's Sneaky Santa Date: 19 Dec 13 - 01:36 PM I have assembled all the elements, And Now (mwa ha ha) - they will be shipped! The Box should get there in time for Christmas (that's a location hint about me). hehehehehe, Santa |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Becca72's Concealed Claus Date: 19 Dec 13 - 02:47 PM Glad it's arrived safely. I was starting to wonder - but my swallow wrangler did tell the elf that the swallows would take about a week. Mind you, I will need to have a word with those swallows. They were supposed to deliver the interesting box themselves, not subcontract it to Royal Male. Wonder which it was - Harry, William... Philip?! Not long to go now. Hope when you open it, you like the contents. Merry Christmas! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Becca72 Date: 19 Dec 13 - 03:55 PM Harry would be right up my alley, except he's rather too young for me :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Amergin Date: 19 Dec 13 - 03:57 PM Wait a minute, Becca....your Santa swallows? |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Becca72 Date: 19 Dec 13 - 04:18 PM LOL, Amergin. Irrelevant as I am female... |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Severn Date: 19 Dec 13 - 04:32 PM So Becca's swallows never came back from capucino? They just dumped the package off at the P.O. and went on a long coffee break? Little birdies, you are SO busted! If I were a swallow right now, I'd be saying, "GULP!"....... |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: dulcimer42 Date: 19 Dec 13 - 08:48 PM I'm just SO excited that I have a Santa, somewhere out there. I just LOVE surprises and can hardly wait! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Rapparee Date: 19 Dec 13 - 09:04 PM Becca, you're FEMALE? How long has this been the case? |

Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Firecat's Fat Flying Fiend In Furs Date: 20 Dec 13 - 08:30 AM Imprisonment does not become me. As for those elves who did it, I shall ensure that they are dealt with in an appropriate manner. As part of your Christmas present, you may decide: 1. Drawing and Quartering, 2. Boiling alive (in memory of ol' King Henry, 3. Being slowly sawed in half with a wooden saw, or 4. Being made to accurately translate the entire "Aenid" from Latin to Greek to Aramaic. You may chose, my dear. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Becca72 Date: 20 Dec 13 - 08:46 AM Since BIRTH, Rap... Amergin - you'd better watch out; Santa Claus is coming to town. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: artbrooks Date: 20 Dec 13 - 11:05 AM I got a package from the UK. Amorphous in shape, no discernible smell...I don't think I'll have to call the bomb squad. Time will tell. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Amergin Date: 20 Dec 13 - 11:59 AM That's ok, Becca. I'm use to getting coal. Though I must admit, some years I've been so naughty, Santa didn't even bother with the coal. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST Date: 20 Dec 13 - 03:04 PM Hi again Santa! Erm, as much as I like the study of death, and methods thereof, I think a suitable - and mind-expanding - punishment would be the Aeneid translation. However, to make it a greater punishment, could you make them translate it into Klingon as well? :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Firecat Date: 20 Dec 13 - 03:06 PM Ooops, sorry! That GUEST a few minutes ago was me. My puter nommed my cookie! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Bat Goddess Date: 20 Dec 13 - 08:20 PM I hope, Sneaky Santa, that you will put your nom de Mudcat and real name in the package -- yes, it's fun to guess, but right at this point in time, my brain is...well, I'm not sure what my brain is, but it's definitely not fully functional. Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: dulcimer42 Date: 23 Dec 13 - 09:09 AM Santa. Your elf arrived. He must have had skiis on that sleigh to make it through the high water we have had here the past couple f days. I must admit... I did not wait 'till Christmas. Well, there was not a "Do not open until...." tag on it. A box of music! For what more could one ask? Maggie Sansone is one of my favorites. Saw her at a festival out in Leesburg maybe a dozen or more years ago. I have one of the vocal samplers in my car right now. A great Christmas gift. Thank you, Santa. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Severn Date: 23 Dec 13 - 10:46 AM Dulcimer 42, I'm glad my package was a high water mark of a wet holiday season and worth wading for and through, even if you opened it early. There WAS some holiday music in there, so it's probably better that you did do. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Stilly River Sage Date: 23 Dec 13 - 11:04 AM A parcel was sent to katlaughing's grandson Morgan. This news is for those of you who delighted in following her stories of the progress of that interesting young man (age 9). SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: My guru always said Date: 23 Dec 13 - 11:31 AM Oh SlyFox Santa, how lovely it is to receive your rhymes! I have little imagination myself so your clues of faraway places and redheads haven't helped me to guess your identity. Although Reynardine and his friends patrols our garden throughout the day, they have left neither hints nor gifts, but have been happy to eat the treats left out for them. One even caught one of our log-pile rats the other day - what a good Fox! Thank you so much for being such a kind and clever Santa, I'm hoping that you will have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Amergin's Amiable Arctic Representative Date: 23 Dec 13 - 03:18 PM Ok, I finally got the young hottie stuffed in the shipping box and have outsourced the delivery to the USPS. I apologize for the delay, however there was a death in the Claus family which threw a bit of a twist on the holiday. You should receive it before the New Year, however. Please let Santa know when it arrives... |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Bat Goddess's Panting Santa Date: 23 Dec 13 - 04:40 PM I'll be glad to let you know who I really am, but the elves dropped the ball for part of your gift. (We had to chase that ball all over the North Pole, but we've got the sucker now!) The box is going to FedEx tomorrow morning. I hope it's not a day late, but there are twelve days of Christmas, right? As an added bonus gift, you can dope slap me when we finally meet. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Amergin Date: 23 Dec 13 - 07:57 PM OH Santa! Is she the inflatable kind or is she living and breathing..at least before you closed the box. No worries on the delay at all! I completely understand and in sad situations like that it would have been ok to wait even longer. I really am sorry for your loss, and hope the new year brings forth happy memories of your loved one. |

Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Stilly River Sage Date: 24 Dec 13 - 11:46 AM You do indeed have a Santa, Rap, and a very fine Santa indeed. I should note here that I tampered with the list a bit, I inserted myself into the game in order to have an extra player so someone could send a gift to parties who didn't know they were on the list, hence the references to Art and Carol Thieme. It landed at ground zero on xmas eve - how great is that! (See the thread.) A special thank you to the Santa who had that task! SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Bat Goddess's Secret Santa Date: 24 Dec 13 - 11:25 PM Well, I'm just about ready to take off. I sent your box by FedEx, and they said it should get to you on Boxing Day. I'm sorry for the delay. Perhaps I should have dropped it at your place myself. I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: jennbrooks Date: 25 Dec 13 - 01:52 PM Hi, Santa in Australia with a name not very legible on the customs declaration but thank you for the lovely package, which did arrive in good time. The little ornaments are beautiful and will not be confined to Christmas, and did you make them? And nothing makes me happier than a cookbook and this one looks pretty comprehensive. Thank you, thank you. I hope you are having a Happy Christmas or any such festival as preferred, and good wishes for a happy new year! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 25 Dec 13 - 07:31 PM the reason the name is not legible is a friend posted the pressie! yes, I did make the ornaments & am pleased you will make use of the cookbook. If you have any trouble with terms in the cookbook, just ask & I'll try to interpret Aussie English to American. sandra |

Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Jacqui's Jocular Jack Frost Date: 31 Dec 13 - 12:39 AM I do apologise for being behind on this. My labour force has been giving me grief again. They sabotaged the assembly line here in the NOrth Pole again. Blighters. I think we caught the one who did it, but he hasn't copped to it, yet, even after extensive polar water boarding. We will try putting him on the ice rack tomorrow. Friday will be the day it goes out, but because of the issues we've been having, it may be in stages. I hope that is ok. Cheers! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Firecat Date: 31 Dec 13 - 04:00 AM Nothing here either. Still being hopeful of it being here by my birthday (Sunday), but starting to think it won't be. :-( |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,The Upside-down Santa of Vectis Date: 31 Dec 13 - 06:17 AM Copied from Thank You thread in case you don't look there..... Glad to hear you liked your Pressies and that you've had a couple of days introducing your Granddaughter to the beach and sea recently. Not sure who I am then? We had a quieter Christmas this year but all is OK here as always. Happy New Year! |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: GUEST,Firecat's Fiendly Fat Flyer Date: 01 Jan 14 - 10:46 AM My dear, you have NO idea! I do so beg your pardon for this unavoidable delay in the delivery of your gifts. It was Christmas Eve, I was boarding my slay...ah, sleigh...when a young man in uniform asked me to step aside. They then searched me...ME! SANTA CLAUS!...and searched my bag of presents. The confiscated the little toy drums and little toy trains as not being conducive to good order, and as for the dolls -- well, I have rarely encountered such dirty minds! THEN they threw me into gaol, confiscating the stub of my pipe so I did not even have the solace of bubbles encircling my head like a wreath (I gave up smoke a century back). I met the most unpleasant people there! If I had my naughty and nice list with me I could have checked it, but I am quite certain that they are on the "naughty" side. But I was finally freed and the warders all apologised, explaining that an overly zealous airline security person was at fault. I accepted the apology and offered to discipline the clerk for them but they declined my offer of boiling the wretch in oil. Anyway, your package may not make it in time for your birthday, but you WILL receive it soon. As for those people I met in prison, well, they shan't be getting any presents for years and years, if ever. That includes the screws. But I do hope you enjoy yours. I have selected them especially for you, you know. |
Subject: RE: BS: 2013 Secret Santa tormenting can begin From: Firecat Date: 01 Jan 14 - 03:18 PM Yay! Sorry to hear you've had to go through all that kerfuffle. I'll keep an eye out for it - except for the couple of days the husband and I are in Cardiff for my birthday treat. Bit tricky to keep an eye out from that far away :-) Thanks for the update! |
