Greetings:

Looking for the lyrics (and hopefully guitar chords) for a song from the 60s, not sure who recorded it or if it was ever even recorded. I knew it as Bird Song. The first verse begins something like this:

If I could weave you a web of bird song....

I believe the final verse is

If you will love me more than fully and longer than forever
Then we two shall mar-ried be with a knot that none can sever
If you will love me in the night and love me in the day
I'll belong to you and only you and never go away.

The song is by Bob Coltman. I don't know if he's online anywhere. I'll see if I can dig the lyric out tomorrow. We used to do it, but it has been years... I don't believe Bob ever recorded it.

"If you will weave me a web of birdsong

From the thrush or linnet, You shall have my heart in hand, and all the love that's in it;"

If I try to keep going from there from memory, I'll just mix up the couplets. But the last line of each verse is:

"I'll belong to you and only you and never go away."

Lovely song. I'll take a look.
