Hi folks,

Just thought I should let you know that our discussion with EMI have actually paid off, and they are releasing the new Jake Thackray CD on (or about) 7th April 2003. It still has that awful title of "The Very Best Of Jake Thackray" - sorry we couldn't persuade them to change that !! But it does include some songs which are not otherwise available on CD.

Ive set up a couple of quick links for both old and new CDs on my website at www.g8ina.enta.net at the bottom of the page....

... and yes, they are affiliate links but it wont make any difference to the price you pay, which is extremely cheap at only GBP5-99 & GBP6-99 for Jakes earlier CD - "Lah Di Dah", and any money made will go towards helping keep Jakes music alive.

Thanks for the support the Mudcatters have given to the JT Project since May last year. I'm sure you will be pleased to know that we were able to send a large cheque to Jake's widow, which has gone a long way to helping his family financially.

Oh, and unless anyone can tell us otherwise, we believe it's Jake's Birthday on Sat 22nd, so we will be raising our glasses at 8pm local time to toast Jake's memory.... you are very welcome to join us.
