Yes sirree...SALTSPRING ISLAND BC will be rolling out the stained red carpet for Mr. Bill Staines on Oct 19th. (Please check out thread   "Bill Staines is heading our way"!
Musicman treats all of us to this wonderful man and his music every year at this time. It's Paul's B'Day pressie to himself ... and he shares...whadda a guy!
Now, before you go cursing me for the trick thread title...I do have a problem. You see, Bill will be staying at my house and sleeping on my stained carpet..do you think he'll mind..I sure hope not!
I'm honored to be helping Paul out with this years concert and we are hoping to make a considerable donation to the Sally Ann, who have been so generous to the fire victims in BC this summer. So many families were burnt out of their homes and face the huge challenge of starting over, many without insurance.
Again, please check out the other thread and if any of you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. AND, if you're near by...come to the concert..you can sleep on my stained carpet as well!

LL, when Bill Staines came to Juneau a few years back I hauled him hither and yon in my old, beat up, Juneau-body Datsun pickup. He never complained about that, so he's probably OK with your carpet..!

Now, look. What kind of hospitality is this? If the carpet is stained, it probably smells, too. Have you put your nose to it recently? How many mold organisms and bacteria do you suppose are living in it? Is a singer supposed to breathe and stuff and then do a performance?

How old is Bill Staines, anyway? He's not a lissome youth, is he?

Surely you can get a cot, an inflatable mattress or a futon from somebody, somewhere. Then you should sleep on it and let your guest have the best bed in the house.

NOT stained! Bill will be treated like the king that he is... and as far as sleeping... there will be too many musicians in my house that night.. no one will be sleeping! LOL
