PS. What Stilly said. Your "voice" is more than the noises that come from your throat, even with fully functioning vocal chords. In the worse case scenerio (which I am not foreseeing), I fulling expect you to invent your own banjo language... after all, a banjo is much more portable than an orchestral harp...

Kendall, your "voice" is much more than the noises that come from your throat. It is there in how you convey your thoughts, in your word choices, in what you write, and in preferences you express in many ways. How you make sounds to convey those words is important, but there are many other ways to communicate. Were you to be struck dumb tomorrow, you'd still have plenty to say and many who want to read or otherwise understand your meaning. In a choice between your life or your vocal chords, you won't lose your "voice."

It's times like this that you'd think that someone, somewhere, in the medical diagnosis and communication area would realize your mental suffering and have the consideration to pick up the phone and call you, even if it's "after hours." I can't thank you all enough for your support. This is very nervous making for me because it could mean the loss of my voice totally. I'm trying to remain positive, but in all honesty, I'm as nervous as a Christian Scientist with a severed artery.

Well, we've not long got back from the hospital. Kendall is a little tired but is finding it difficult to comply with doctor's orders and not talk! He is, however, doing somewhat as he is told, even if just for a short while.

The doctor has 'some concerns' about what the growth is and we have to wait a few days for the biopsy results now. They can't really say how long that will take but we should have the results before the end of the week.

We'll keep you posted.

Kendall has read and appreciated all your comments. At the moment he really doesn't know what reply to make so I'm just going to say thank you to all of you for making him laugh and feel glad that he has so many friends thinking of him right now.

He's scheduled for 7.30 tomorrow morning. We'll update you as soon as we get back from the hospital.
