That earlier kind of case Michael Jackson faced was bound to come up after the last one. And three jurors (so far) have decided to write books about it. Looks like the jurors were as smarmy as the defendants and the accusors. I feel sorry for the guy.

Jacko escapes jail in new lawsuit

Michael Jackson was fined £5,500 and barely escaped arrest yesterday for missing two court appearances in a sexual assault lawsuit.

Jackson's lawyer, Charles Gay, told the hearing that administrative errors had stopped the singer from responding to the notices. District Judge Eldon Fallon said he would have ordered Jackson's arrest and possibly judgment against him if Gay had not attended the hearing on Jackson's behalf.

The unnamed plaintiff is asking for unspecified damages. He sued last November, saying he was lured into Jackson's limousine during the 1984 World's Fair in New Orleans and sexually assaulted.

He says he waited to sue because he repressed memories of the assault until news coverage of the child molestation charges against Jackson in California revived them.

In that case, a jury acquitted Jackson in June of molesting a 13-year-old boy in 2003.

Because it was so traumatic, that's why -- it's obvious.

It's silly to discuss most things here, but that doesn't stop us. My feeling is that if the patient hadn't been Michael Jackson, the doctor never would have ordered so much of a drug not intended to be used outside a hospital, and that's what the verdict was based on. I think it's probably a fair verdict, but it's sad anyway you look at it.

At $150,000 a month, many doctors might do 'almost' anything a famous patient asked. Too bad Murray can't sue Michael for demanding an inappropriate drug. (Propofol doesn't even provide decent restorative sleep...it merely renders one unconscious for awhile.)

I think if I had been Murray I would have suggested to Michael that he found himself another doctor to attend to him instead before it got too heavy.
