You've gone and made me paranoid about what I say now. I'd best not say anythen that can be taken the wrong way. In fact, I'm probably best off not saying anything at all.

Mind what you say, Bunn. Rumors spread like Sherwin Williams Super-Paint around here. In fact, I think I hear whispers already, saying things like, "Can't type worth a damn", or, "talking about Mudcatter's flesh"...etc.

Once the rumors start, they are difficult to dispel. I know from personal experience. Yes, it is true. Some actually say I, khandu, King of the Ethereal Kingdom of Mississippi, am delusional!

Can you imagine!

As far as I'm aware, I'm not anybody else, but as I've not met that many mudcatters in the flesh, I can't prove it. Wouldn't mind being someone who could type better though...

Two people do use this computer for the Cat though, and most of the time she doesn't bother logging out, so I am occasionally Crystal, but not often.

I am wondering about the need to refresh this thread. What do you think? If we need to discuss it, I suppose this would be the place to do it rather than starting a new thread. Am I thinking clearly? Am I wrong? Should we also discuss the ramifications of the possibility of my being wrong?

*************************************************************************

Do any of you think it is somewhat delusional of my Royal self to expect, year after year, to be named as "Time/Life's Man of the Year"? Or, do you think it is well within reason for me to expect the honor to be bestowed upon my Royal self any year now?

*************************************************************************

How many of you have suspected that Bunnahabhain and John O'L are not the same person?

Have you seen them together at any time?

*************************************************************************

Hello, Hello, Do we have any former members of "Sopwith Camel" as present members of Mudcat. If so, would you please reveal yourself (selves?) to us. I like your smile. Can we talk a while? Would you like some of my tangerine? I know I'll never treat you mean!

*************************************************************************

In the alphabetical CD bins in music stores, Should Jethro Tull be under "J" or under "T"? I have always found them under "J". Therefore, I suspect that I could find Sopwith Camel under "S", rather than "C". The propriety of this is open to discussion with anyone who thinks it should be openly discussed.

And the Mudcat Guests [who aren't members] could also post at least one time once a week to this thread.

That would help get it to 5,000 posts.

In fact, this thread now has sixty-three times as many posts as it did at 01:17 PM on June 11th! That means it has grown by 6300% in just eleven days! Wow! Just imagine your investment portfolio growing by 6300% in eleven days! Then again, this thread may be some sort of Ponzi scheme where, ultimately, everybody's going to lose their shirts except GUEST,Me that started the thing. Maybe we should all put our money into spatulas instead.

If this pattern remains, 5000 will be a cinch!

I finally mustered the nerve to approach the Great and Honored Harry Lee Wigley about this thread and asked him his opinion regarding the possibility of it reaching 5000 posts.

The Great and Honored Harry Lee Wigley looked at me with his knowing, but sad eyes and spake with a voice heavy with wisdom and said, "I am, therefore, I think."

Then the Great and Honored Harry Lee Wigley said, "khandu, hear my words and believe what I say...'Goddamn mad dog' is a palindrome. So is 'no, it is opposition'. But, 'palindrome' is no palindrome."

Then the Great and Honored Harry Lee Wigley hiked a leg and farted prodigiously and said, "Damn, that smells fragrant!"

Then he grabbed me and started choking my neck and crying, crying like a damned schoolgirl and said, "Ponder deeply what I have said, for, indeed, I have given you the answer regarding the possibility of the thread reaching 5000 posts."

Then he farted again.

Why, khandu, that's an easy one! The identity of "mystery writer" is no mystery to me!

It's not Rustic Rebel because there's no mention of bodily fluids. It's not Rapaire because the post doesn't smell like potatoes. It's not Bee-dubya because there's no profanity. It's not Little Hawk because there's no mention of Shatner. It's not Stilly River Sage because she knows how to spell "submit".

Therefore, by the process of elimination, I have concluded that "mystery writer" is obviously Amos. Unless, maybe, it's Tweed. Or Chongo Chimp. Or Gluon the Cosmic Duck-Dog.

Yes? Well let me put you to the test, MOAB...I will write something and you tell us all who wrote it just by your analysis of the writing style. Okay, here goes...Wait! I have already written something! So...who wrote this ? Tell us, and we will believe you!
Whoops! I forgot the rules.
1. Read all rules.
2. Then have someone read the passage to you.
3. Be blindfolded when they are reading this to you.
4. Tell them not to read the name in the "From" above this message.
5. Submmit your results in typing on this forum in this thread.
6. Do not mention my typo of putting two "m"s in "submit".

I kept hearing my name mentioned over here on this thread, so I thought I'd come check it out. My advice to everyone is to ignore this thread. It is a vapid, flacid attempt at the grandeur which is TheMother Of All BS Threads. It is so pointless that one might actually think it was started by one of my more intellectually challenged children. But, I'm pretty sure it wasn't. After over 12,000 posts I can usually recognize their writing styles.

Now. Let us ponder this. MOAB is presently at 12727 posts. It is a safe bet to say that MOAB shall soon top 13,000 head on toward 14,000 and eventually pass 15,000. And this shall happen because a mere handful, a very small percentage of members have slogged along, steadily posting their thoughts, feelings, grunts, farts and any and everything else one can imagine.

This can just as easily happen to this thread, even though it is created by a "new and bored" "me" who is not even a member of this fine and astute collection. All it takes is a few of us to post a thought or two regularly. which means that within a year, or two or so, Little hawk could be banging the dookey outta Winona Rider, though I'd prefer Minnie Driver myself.
