TDL are on the verge of breaking up. They have a few recording and tour commitments which they are honouring due to legal technicalities. Sue Turkey has a solo album due out in late October, titled:

"Christmas may be coming, but this Turkey won't get roasted"

Trevor Lidl is going to spend more time on his chain of cut price stores.

Manager and long time associate Brian Bruce said this morning "This is a sad day for British music - on par with the Beatles split in 1970. They leave a lot of fans very disappointed and in despair. They feel that the pressures of the 21st century music business never allowed them to realise their full creative potential. Time will show that the Turkey/Lidl partnership will be remembered along with Rodgers/Hart, Strummer/Jones, Jagger/Richard and Chin/Chapman"

Thanx Stormalong, She did indeed do a great job at widesteps. As to the DVD, we had the same problem, but found it was due to a saliva-like substance on the DVD itself - could this be due to the fact that Fisheye is a banjo player? Did anybody else notice the Barden seemed to be moving at half-speed on his bit? - It puts an emphasis on the Marquis tossing his locks in time to the music!

A true story:

Fisheye recently sent me a DVD of the Knockholt Summer Festival. It works perfectly for the first twenty minutes or so, but as soon as TDL appear on screen the DVD freezes completely and refuses to go further forward.

How should I interpret this?

I have packed my nosebag ready for Knockholt. I've heard that some famous big cats are going to be there. It's a shame that The Barden of England isn't going, but I'm keeping my hooves crossed that Richard Bridge might manage Thursday night. I have been on the Knockholt thread and told him I'll save a patch of grass next to the sheep. Baaaaa!!

Ted Handley kept saying "nice sarong Trev" all Tuesday. This was the threatened caveman outfit. Photos on our website shortly. We got our busking licence when we checked in. All official same as the workforce ones. Went busking on the three or so good days. Broadstairs caught the fringe of a tornado, tents,gazebos, and our awning, ripped from the ground. We spent Monday going to Margate for spares and fixing it!Also a tree fell in the carpark threatening a number of vehicles.

The monsoon and tornado that hit Broadstairs has given her a chest infection. Sang like a good un at the late night session on Friday. Put it down to the Biddenden cider and brandy cocktails.
