Subject: RE: BS: Removing threads From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 28 Aug 08 - 08:45 AM Loose threads should always be pulled. The entertainment provided by seeing how large a pile of useless string one can create from a knit shirt far exceeds its value as mere clothing. |

Subject: RE: BS: Removing threads From: Jeri Date: 27 Aug 08 - 12:24 PM Kendall stole that, Liz. (Nothing wrong with that.) The thread-melting thing only works if it's nylon or some other synthetic. Cotton, I think, makes good torches. |

Subject: RE: BS: Removing threads From: Alice Date: 27 Aug 08 - 11:48 AM A fine crochet hook can be used to reach a pulled thread from the inside of a garment and pull it to the side of the fabric that is not seen. But I expect most catters know how to do that already. |

Subject: BS: Removing threads From: Donuel Date: 27 Aug 08 - 11:27 AM I have ruined many a knit shirt by pulling on a thread. I found that cutting the loose thread and then touching it with a small flame will either melt the thread in place or hide the protruding thread from view. Dog/cat claws and knits don't mix |
