We might be able to make mass behave like negative mass but is it really negative mass? There are human ways of expressing ideas without saying them directly like the above. US versions of that is $3K. My existing aging electric bike won't go 30mph but I am aging too. So I went with a portable sauna for only $100 so when insulin goes through the roof, I'll still be warm. Pharmaceuticals could go crazy. There is not much we can do in defense. Converting to bonds makes the National debt service worse, going all cash would be eaten by inflation...every move you lose. MAGA talking heads say sit tight and buy the lows, but no one knows the low. Besides, growing from a low is slow. If you have planned purchases, now is a good time as long as existing supplies are available here already. We will not be panic buying TP. |

He's playing with the world economy like a spoiled child; today dropped all of them down to 10% tariffs (the usual is in the 1 - 1.5% range) except for China, where he's making it worse. Biden did not want to make Trump a martyr, and the ex-president slipped away. Garland is less accountable than Congress, and Biden did not pursue Trump's crimes and magnify a mob's response. Biden avoided weaponizing justice and thought he would let sleeping dogs lie. Anyway, armchair analysis of the past could be viewed in any number of ways. |

This week, the dollar lost value, and there was a sell-off of the daddy of all markets, the bond market, where the most stable instrument was the T Bill. A loss of faith in the US economy under Trump is a real and present danger. This is not polemics or hyperbole. Suppose you really wanted to build a factory in the US. You can not afford parts that come from China. Can you risk deportations? Can you risk retaliatory tariffs? Can you risk your investment for the next 4 years? Can you risk a government run by rejects and crazies that weren't good enough for Trump version 1? |

Only 88 University students have been deported so far. Remember SCOTUS has allowed US citizens to be deported under Trump's orders. People still think that only 'them' trouble makers are being disappeared, so it's not their concern. Vacationing in the US feels like it is as popular as vacationing in North Korea and Russia. Ha Ha Trump has increased the price of his McDonald's burger since they import Brazilian beef. He might still take comfort that the Rainforest is burned to make room for cow pastures. |
