Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: Azizi Date: 05 Mar 06 - 11:41 PM Darn! Foiled again!! This is not exciting at all. Not that I expected excitement on an thread with this title. BTW-is "unimaginitive" spelled that way? I thought it was spelled "u-n-i-m-a-g-i-n-A-t-i-v-e". ???? So this is what I've come to. A Dullsville spelling excercise. Sad. |
Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: Peace Date: 05 Mar 06 - 11:44 PM How imaginitive is it to spell the word the same old way? |
Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: autolycus Date: 06 Mar 06 - 07:37 PM Y'know - er -er - I -er -er -er was just thinj=king (bit like thinking only spelt better - er -where was I? -um - well - y'kmow, Iwas , in a manner of speaking, as it were , or was, (never was too sure abi#out that) - anyway -as I was saying, er- I was just thinking. Yup, that's about the size of it - I was just thinking - not um (cough)- not- hang on a minute.............it's OK he's gone now - bloody Godot, always passing through - ah, yes right, well, as I say I was , in the grammatically faultless manner of the grammatically faultless, whose grammar, let's be honest about this, just, well, can't be (Waiiiiiiiiiit for it - ta) faulted, thinking. Now thinking - er -er -er -er -er isn't , is it? Not really, anyway. so, that'll be time for bed sans teeth , sans cocoa, sans meaning, probably - is THAT the time, goodness me. If that was too interetsing, or imaginative, or interetsing or imaginative at all, then I'm sorryI've failed. Please accept meapologies. Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: Rapparee Date: 06 Mar 06 - 07:51 PM I used to apologize but found it to be too much trouble. Besides, how many ways can you say "I'm sorry" without sounding repetitious? Now if anyone wants me to apologize I just punch 'em out. Saves all that hanging around, waiting for them to throw the first punch. Premptive, ya know? Just the other day I got stopped by a cop and he told me to apologize and he'd only give me a warning for doing 124 mph in a schoolyard, so I just punched him out. Simple, really. Now I'm hiding up in the hills, running from the cops and the posse. That's the other thing. Nobody today seems to have a sense of humor. I remember a sense of humor, back in the days of "Francis The Talking Mule" and "Ma and Pa Kettle" movies. Now, those were funny. Not like the stuff you have today, stuff like "Geech and Chong" or "Firestone Theatre" or "Saturday Night Life" and things. Why can't they bring back Francis and maybe pair him up with Mr. Ed? Now, you gotta admit that that would be funny, a talking horse and a talking mule. And while there at it they could combine the Beverly Hillbillies with Ma and Pa Kettle, and maybe Hee-Haw with the Dukes of Hazzard and that show with Barney Fife. But nobody listens to my suggestions anyway, like that cop I was telling you about. I made a suggestion to him just before I punched him out, but he sort of took umbrage at the suggestions. Which is why I'm living up in the hills. |
Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: bobad Date: 06 Mar 06 - 07:57 PM "I'm Sorry" was the entry under my "Favorite Saying" in my high school yearbook. You can't get much more unimaginative and boring than that. |

Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: Ebbie Date: 08 Mar 06 - 11:43 AM I don't need instruction in the art of boring. I'm a past master (mistress?) at it. "The visibility of an outline can change where its projection intersects that of another outline. The intersection can be found as the simultaneous solution of the two projected outlines." Rap Rapaire, I'd like to see a collage of figures, each with its own colour but overlapping other figures, each clearly defined and visible from a certain angle perhaps or maybe glowing sequentially. Maybe one could do it manually, perhaps with transparent colours that wink in and out as one tilts the board? As you can see, my life is exciting. But only to me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Unimaginitive and VERY dull thread. From: autolycus Date: 08 Mar 06 - 06:51 PM But quite apart from the specific problem of the world itself, can the Being of what we encounter proximally within-the-world be reached ontologically by this procedure? When we speak of material Thinghood , have we not tacitly posited a kind of Being - the constant presence-at-hand of Things - which is so far from having been rounded out ontologically by subsequently (By the way, this is going, particularly for the 'dull' bit.) (to resume) by subsequently endowing entities with value predicates, that these value-characters are rather just ontological characteristics of those entities which have the kind of Being possessed by Things? (Please note he's just asked you a question. To continue..) Adding on value-predicates cannot tell us anything at all about the Being of goods, b u t w o u l d m e r e l y p r e s u p p o s e a g a i n t h a t g o o d s h a v e p u r e p r e s e n c e - a t - h a n d a s t h e i r k i n d o f B e i n g.
