Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Peace Date: 01 Sep 09 - 07:47 PM I have seen my nephews angered by racist remarks, hurt by them. If the BNP thinks racism isn't everyone's business to destroy, guess again. I am not going to say "Fuck the BNP"; instead, allow me to tell them something similar in little words: You are cowards; mostly wankers with a few wankerettes; you suck farts from dead seagulls; you are tripe, and you cross-dress. There. Didn't tell them to get fucked once. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: jeddy Date: 01 Sep 09 - 07:55 PM i like the farts insult, but what has cross dressing to do with having no brain? please keep ypur insults either funny or relative. cheers take care all jade x x x ps my network has been out for a day so i haye yet to catch up properly, i will don't worry x x |

Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Peace Date: 01 Sep 09 - 07:59 PM BTW, Jeddy, the cross-dress remark was relative. It was for Sam and his 'wife'. She wears the pants and he wears the dress |

Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Stringsinger Date: 02 Sep 09 - 11:54 AM The big obstacle to keep the BNP supporters from rallying is the under-the-surface reaction to Islam. This is probably what is fueling this reaction. Whenever there is a totalitarian theocracy threatening insecure people who have their own equally rigid theocratic views, you have a BNP. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Royston Date: 02 Sep 09 - 02:45 PM Stringsinger: Whenever there is a totalitarian theocracy threatening insecure people I'm not taking a pop at you but I would like to "freeze-frame" at this point because it would be very useful to deconstruct that statement. You are a liberal-minded poster and obviously not a BNP sympathiser so it's important to step outside of the conversation for a moment and ask yourself why you might feel that Islam, or Muslims, constitute an organised institution (such as a totalitarian theocracy) that might threaten people. Can you identify any evidence for that particular belief or perception? You see it's a right-wing tactic to propagate low-level scare stories and misinformation that has exactly the effect of leading even the most decent people to believe that they know a thing to be true, when in fact it is not. When people restate their assumptions about Muslims or Islam, they often realise that of a group of 1.2bn human beings, all the assumptions held tend to come from the constant media insinuations of Taleban, bin Laden, Abu Hamsa, Ahmedinejad and the Iranian Revolutionary council of 12 clerics. George W. Bush invaded Iraq, with all its consequences, because God told him to (GWB actually said this to Jacques Chirac in an official, minuted meeting and you can read about it in Chirac's memoirs) but Christian's aren't painted as warmongers. 12 individual Muslims on 11/9/2001 killed one hundredth (3,000 dead) of GWB's death-toll (about 300,000 on the lowest estimates) and yet those 12 lunatics somehow managed to seal the fate of the other 1.2bn Muslims in the eyes of some observers? In the face of a poisonous media that hungers for the extremes of all things and has no interest in normal, mundane or average, one has to be very careful about realising the difference between what one is told and what one actually *knows* to be true. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Smokey. Date: 02 Sep 09 - 03:31 PM Or to put it another way, there is a big difference between fact and opinion. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: SPB-Cooperator Date: 02 Sep 09 - 04:17 PM or even the vast majority of Muslims are nice people. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Richard Bridge Date: 02 Sep 09 - 04:20 PM Contrariwise, Iran is a totalitarian theocracy, and many do categorise the "Christian Right" in the US as hateful warmongering sexist homophobic fascist crusader bastards. |
Subject: RE: BS: Anti BNP Protests - Luton From: Jamming With Ollie Beak (inactive) Date: 02 Sep 09 - 04:29 PM I've an idea that more than a few wouldn't mind the USA being a "Christian Right" totalitarian theocracy Charlotte Olivia Robertson (Ms) |
