PENTANGLE – UK Tour announced and second date in London

"Forget Cream…or Led Zeppelin, this is the biggie: Pentangle is reforming" – The Guardian (19 January 2007)

Exactly 40 years to the day that unique British folk/jazz 'supergroup' Pentangle recorded the live disc of their seminal double album, Sweet Child, at London's Royal Festival Hall, the original band: Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Jacqui McShee, Danny Thompson and Terry Cox, will return to the Royal Festival Hall to celebrate their legacy. That unique show is now sold out, and the band are pleased to announce a second date in London and a UK tour. Tour dates are:

It must have been their very first tour when I saw them, bloody hell thats the best part of 40 years ago!!

Got my ticket for the Mancy gig. Got a couple of old vinyls of theres - Basket of Light and a double album with some fab colour photos on. Who remembesr the tv series that they did the theme for - was 'Take 3 Girsl' or something.

Should be a fab night!

I saw them at the Albert Hall in 1968 (cover of Basket of Light time) and enjoyed them immensely. I still play an arrangement of Once I Had a Sweetheart that is based pretty much entirely on that version.
