Thanks, sweetie. Here's hoping. And chase that wine with a good dose of decent gin if need be. After all, it was developed originally for medicinal purposes. I would think Plymouth, or Tanqueray Ten would do the trick. If they aren't available, Bombay Sapphire should do nicely.

Amos, I don't use your "standard" didactionary.

Logically, if something is "beyond price" than a value or worth cannot be placed on it. Therefore it is worthless or valueless. Now, Kendall's voice is obviously worth a whole lot so you'd have to say that it was "nearly priceless" or "practically worthless."

Kendall, get your practically worthless self up to snuff, back to normal, and toeing the line.

It's all over but the worrying. My throat looks like I came out second in a knife fight, and it is very tender, but I have pain killers that make me loopy but able to cope.

He really was loopy - he let me drive all the way home from Albany - not that I was going to let him loose with the car in his present condition.

We stopped in Mass. for a 'comfort break' and, as we got out the car, he told me that he would drive the rest of the way. By the time we got back to the car he had decided that I had better finish the driving. Whatever the painkillers are they're pretty strong!

Wonder of wonders, I've barely heard a peep out of him for 24 hours now! He really is taking the voice rest seriously.

I've worked in various bars around the UK and been married to a plumber (#1) and a carpenter (#2). Until Kendall refitted the kitchen I had never heard such inventive and varied cursing!

Always happy to join in myself. Shall we just swear for the hell of it or should we pick a particular topic? Maybe prhases said when a mechanical task goes awry like plumbing. Karen will not come around me when I have to fix the plumbing.

Or maybe we need phrases used on a specific thing that gives us a problem. The phrase that Kendall used there might be a good example when speaking to your car.

Or should we just have a Cappin' contest, play the dozens type thing where one might say, "Kendall, you're so friggin' stupid you might be twins.".........Or, "Your nuts are so small and seedlike it would take 12 dozen to make a snack for a canary."
