The Milkmaid is an established folk club in Bury St Edmunds. At present it is held in the Constitutional Club in Guildhall St. just yards from the town centre. It is a very comfortable venue with a bar that sells beer from the local micro brewery, Bartrams. The club was established by Terry Waldon many years ago and is very popular. Most of all the top performers have performed there. Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy, Watersons,Pete Coe, Peggy Seeger, John Renbourne, Martin W-R, Swarb and many many more. Ticket prices for the Expats are £9 prebooked, £10 on the door. All we would ask is that if a ticket is pre- booked it is hohoured. Thats it in brief.

I believe they are also appearing at Dartford Folk Club on 4/11
and also at Islington Folk Club on 6/11.

Pity I cannot make any of them.

The Milkmaid appears to be a club. The venue for this is is Bury St. Edmunds Constitutional Club, 12 Guildhall St., IP33 1PR. Damn - I might just drive up from Sussex for this, as I can't see any other future dates for Duck and chums.

Where? When? I can't get there but I could send along a local spy! Is the Milkmaid a pub/club/person?

Ross

Performing as The Expatriate Game in Bury St. Edmunds on Friday the 7th ( this week ). Does it come any better than this. The Milkmaid is proud to present this super group supported by the wonderful Liz Simcock. Super.
