Subject: Auld Lang Syne From: Jack Blandiver Date: 31 Dec 08 - 09:49 AM I've often thought it might be nice to have some of virtual singaround on Mudcat, via YouTube, where Dick Miles and Will Fly and others have posted some sterling stuff in recent months. So, here on this dreary New Year's Eve*, I am moved to make my own contribution thus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_3T-WCRX10 * My wife is at work, I am full of an ongoing cold & feeling depressed as fuck; however, utterly joyless, I persevere - tomorrow night we're off to see Ken Dodd at The Marine Hall. So, to all you Mudcatters, great & small, friendly & adversarial, all the very best to the lot of you in the hope for a fruitful and happy new year. |

As to depression, it's a real bastard. It's interesting that St. Johns Wort, THE herbal remedy for inner cloudy skies, is traditionally associated to the seasonal inverse of this time, ie: the Summer Solstice. And it also makes the skin sensitive to Sunlight. I've enjoyed your recent YouTubes, thanks for this posting. Be Well. And New Year fun type silliness to All here, especially those of you who have been so lovely and warm with me. Now I'm going to get myself ever so slightly completely fucking trashed and put this shitty year well behind me... SR ;-) |
