Some years ago I saw in a Phil-Cunningham-Show at BBC 2 Mary Coughlan singing "Auld Lang Syne" in an exceptional mood. I never heard it again. Is there any CD or Video where it is recorded?

I am interested in getting a modern day English version. Is there anyone out there who can help?

I'm not sure of this but did she sing the 'other' melody which is not the standard one? I've noticed some singers doing this in attempt to show Burns original tune to which he set Auld Lang Syne. This tune, however, and a version of Auld Lang Syne set to it, predates Burns.
Ramsey and Thomson both printed the song with slightly different words but the same melody before Burns.

Maybe Edi needs to be told about "Sex and the City". (Not Mary Coughlan but it might do the trick).
