I'm so jealous that you are able to visit the farm of maeve and true-love. Mosquitos or not, (think of the feast that provides for all the birds), the good vibe has got to do wonderful things for the mind, body and spirit.

Do I recall your procedure is tomorrow Kendall?

The procedure is on Thursday - we take off from here early Wednesday to visit with the Patons en route, before booking into our hotel in the evening and treating ourselves to a meal in the hotel restaurant - amazing food!

I'll be updating as soon as I can get to a PC on Thursday evening.

Jacqui & Kendall- Truelove and I will be watching for an update; thanks.
I'll send a PM with a message for the Patons.

Rapaire- When I do a bantam roundup I usually just whistle them in. Our rooster Calico gets the hens into the chicken house for me with wing-display and chortles.   I've donated the chicken branding iron to Sinsull. She needed it for some ceremony she has planned for a 'Catter who may be sailing into Portland harbor.

maeve, our tree is looking quite dejected. I think it misses you.
I followed your instructions to the letter, but it may not like the clay soil I stuck it with.

Kendall, not to worry. Red Oak is one of the most adaptable oaks around. It was in a sandy loam soil, so we were able to get the roots out without losing any. Clay soil isn't the problem for this tree it might have been for a White Oak. We have a week or so of cloudy skies and moderate rain coming up, so let's just give it time to adjust to its new home. If it still looks unhappy in a week, give me a call and I'll take a look.

Thinking of you,

maeve

Red oak is the only wood I use for making furniture and such. The grain is just soooo pleasing to the eye.

There are lots of other woods that are great for certain applications, and budgets, but red oak is the only stuff I keep in stock.

Seamus didn't spend much time on my couch, his personal hygiene needs some working on... But he had a lovely trip to the beach with the other two yellow dogs, and we left him and his "fragrance" back with Auntie Sins. Jacqui. what in hell do you feed that dog?!

Sending good vibes your way today, Kendall.

Vibing at Kendall.

Waiting...

Jacqui fed that dog pesto, Prosciutto and asparagas right in front of me then handed him over for a trip to my house. No problem - I have a can of sauerkraut at the ready when I send him back.

Well, that takes the cake (pun intended). A cat that gets it's ass licked by a dog.

Yes, I AM disgusted by my own post.

Enough of this! When the hell are we gonna' hear something?

Sins....Give Seamus a big shot of milk before you return him home. The effect of milk on flatulence production is impressive.

I drink skim milk, which is why I fart less than a ballerina. Give Seamus heavy cream.... and broccoli covered in old cheddar cheese.

Jacqui called a short while ago. Dad is in recovery and they will be spending the evening in Albany for observation. I will let her post the details because my mind relaxed after hearing he was out of surgery OK and I didn't retain much of the rest.

Oh, and Jeri.....EEEEEEWWWWWW. That visual is NOT something I needed. :-)
