Lyr Req: Careless Love (Dr John)

Can anyone understand Dr John's 3rd verse of "Careless Love"? (Goin' Back To New Orleans, 1992), I can't.
Is it, "I RAN my father stone blind? and is it "watch you SPIN and die"? I love this guy's work but his diction sure is difficult at times to understand.

Given that the line after the "Father" one is "You ran my sweet lil' mother out of her mind", I'd say you got it right.

And given that he's "gonna shoot you four or five times" I'd say it's a fair shout that you might just "spin and die".
