We've read all about the P-Vine, the hundreds of plantings of rhodies and all, the wild critters making friends, and the fun Bobert has playing in the dirt, now you can, too...P-Vine wants to live closer to her kids and grandbabies, so their farm is on the market. Never hurts to pass the word along, esp. if it helps a fellow Mudcatter, so take a gander and "psssttt, pass it on, please?!"

I'm disillusioned! I thought Bobert lived in a ramshackle hillbilly shack that was half falling down, with feral pigs roaming the uncut trash-strewn lawn, and a still out back at the edge of the woods. A real man of the people.

BTW, Amos, the P-Vine and flyin' don't mix... When we first met I took her up in a Cesna and had to bring the 'ol gal right back down... She freeked!!!

Smoke house ain't a smoke house no more... I wired it up and have extra refrig and freezer out there...

That real-estate listing should reveal the acreage. I visited once (sometime in '06, while on Katrina evacucation) and was pretty impressed at the size of the spread; they seemed to own the whole top of a mountain. Well, a hill, anyway.

Bobert was still in the midst of a lot of interior renovation at the time. Now that the place is all fixed up (I assume), too bad they feel the need to leave.

The location is pretty remote, though, so I can understand P-Vine's concerns. I thought I was going to exit the interstate at Luray and find my way to the homestead in 15-20 minutes, but NO! By the time I finally arrived, I was already nervous about getting back on the road (from exile in New Jersey to visit and start work on my damaged home in New Orleans), and didn't enjoy the visit as much as I should have.

It certainly could be a grow op opportunity for the right buyer. If you'll look back here in the orchard and along the woods edges, you'll see lots more opportunities to grow herbs and spices out of the view of pesky neighbours and the DEA. Ahhh, that's the Department of Ecology Administration. Yeah, that's it.

If you are actually interested, you shouldn't wait too long to make an offer. I have shown this property three times in two days and I know I am not the only agent who has shown it. The house is being shown tghis Saturday by the very same agent we bought it from 5 plus years ago... Man, that would be fittin' if her people bought it...

Well, Sins... I donno... I think this farm will look purdy much in 50 years as it does today... I mean, it's very isolated as P-Gator said... Back up to the Shenandoah National Park so you can walk, or take a 4 wheeler ATV for miles and miles and miles and....

You would have to bring that up, wouldn't you, WYSuz... Unfortunately we are in the process of taggin' plants that we're takin'... Last time it was 550 plants... I'm hopin' to keep it at less than 100 this time... Well, not exactly, seein' as the P-Vine is growin' on lots from cuttings so we have at least 500 but they will be smaller... Okay, prolly 500 in total but most cuttings in small pots...

I'm gonna have to find some dependable help in NC 'cause I'm gonna need some help with plantin' after we come up with an overall design...

Man, I'd much rather talk about moving shop tools... Think I'm gonna buy a used 20 foot "sea container" and set up the tool room/ hardware store in it... I can have it hauled and set up where ever so I'll have my tools and stuff... We allready had a skimish over it today and I think the P-Vine understands that if I'm gonna move 500 plants then I want my tools... I think she gets it but I expect several more skirmishes over this... Normal...

Heck, if it were up to me I'd just go out and park my tractor about where I thought the top would fall and cut it down and let it fall on the tractor's ROPs (Roll Over Protection) and then none of her plant would get hurt but...
