Subject: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 11 Aug 12 - 12:56 PM With the next USA election loomin' large in the minds of most Americans, we are bein' confronted with a long list of moral issues and questions to consider. Hoverin' near the top of that list is this question: Should Chimps and Humans be legally allowed to marry? Should other apes and humans be legally allowed to marry? Romney says NO. Obama says NO. Bobertz (the idiot) says NO. Most Humans say NO. Many Chimps got serious doubts about it...and I can understand those doubts, havin' seen the trouble Humans can cause in a Chimp's life...but... I say YES! Humans and Chimps SHOULD be legally allowed to marry. It is time to put aside the hatred and prejudice of the past, bravely cross the line that has divided our races all these years, and give Chimps and Humans the right to legally marry...not just in places like San Francisco or Portland, Oregon...but everywhere! Yes, people, I have a dream! I dream that one day Chimps and Humans will walk to the altar hand in hand, not fearin' the prejudice and disapproval of the naysayers among us, and hold their heads up high as they begin a new life together in the sunshine of mutual respect and equality! You heard it here. You know my stand. Make your vote FOR species equality in November. Vote for Chongo Chimp and the APP!!! - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Megan L Date: 11 Aug 12 - 01:04 PM Heck chongo have you looked at most of the mudmen. Chimps are on the whole better looking and apart from the ocassional misunderstanding about poo better behaved. |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 11 Aug 12 - 01:17 PM You make a well-considered point there, Megan, but I am not talkin' about Chimps marryin' just any human. There are, after all, some humans who rise well above the common benchmark and would make a decent parter for the average ape. Now...would an ape with any sense marry Mel Gibson? Or Anne Coulter? Would a woman with any sense marry Chacko, the new Boss of the North Side Gorillas? Hell, no! But let's not let our judgement be ruled by the very worst examples of species degeneration that we can drag forth. Let's look to the brightest and best among our respective species to steer our hopes and dreams for the future. - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: DMcG Date: 11 Aug 12 - 01:20 PM Sounds fraught with problems. What species provides the minister/officient? Are we talking about chimp law or human law? If it is both, what happens if you divorce under one law but not under the other? If a chimp is married to another already, I can see that the from the chimps viewpoint it might be bigamy, but is it for the human? I think we need a committee to think through all of this for a good few decades ... |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Ebbie Date: 11 Aug 12 - 01:39 PM I don't want to visualise the marriage bed... |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: artbrooks Date: 11 Aug 12 - 02:05 PM Personally, I'm all in favor of eliminating the institution of marriage altogether...after all, who benefits other than preachers, cake designers, tux rental joints and divorce lawyers? Otherwise, chimps, humans, sheep (Scots only) - who cares? |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Megan L Date: 11 Aug 12 - 02:05 PM Ach Chongo I know you are into racial and specist harmony and all that tosh and i ken the mudmen are probably fine enough fellows but really Would you want your sister married to one? |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,mauvepink Date: 11 Aug 12 - 02:11 PM We are all chimps - or at least primates - but some are higher on the ladder than others. It's time we humans tried to climb higher! Marry and be damned! :-) mp |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Bobert Date: 11 Aug 12 - 03:34 PM I don't give a rats ass who marries whom... If Chongz wants to marry a human, fine... If he wants to marry a rats ass, fine... If a human wants to marry a cockroach, fine... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 11 Aug 12 - 05:18 PM If a human wants to marry a cockroach, fine... So, you've met my sister's ex-husband, have you? |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 11 Aug 12 - 05:50 PM And what about their children? Would they be Chumans or Himps? |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: YorkshireYankee Date: 11 Aug 12 - 07:20 PM Chumpmans, methinks... |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: gnu Date: 11 Aug 12 - 08:32 PM Well, the idea seems rather far fetched to begin with... until I think of some of the good ol boys up Kent County and realize fuckin a chimp would be climbing the social ladder fer some a them lads. Now, I ain't sayin some a the women up Kent County are ugly or inbred. I wouldn't do that. Don't have to. |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 11 Aug 12 - 10:50 PM Well, we are gettin' some good, thoughtful dialogue from people here...a clear indication that the time has definitely arrived to take on this issue seriously and usher American society into a whole new era of species equality that will be the envy of the world and will sweep away the archaic traditions that have bound us in the past. Will Obama and Romney rise to the APP challenge and open their hearts and minds to support cross-species marital alliances? I'm bettin' they won't. And that means more votes for the APP. - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Joe_F Date: 11 Aug 12 - 10:51 PM AFAICT it is very unlikely that chimpanzees & humans could have offspring, let alone fertile ones. (We are not even classified in the same genus.) However, it does seem to be generally conceded that a *mosaic* of a human & a chimpanzee (analogous to a geep rather than a mule) would be possible. That would indeed lead to a complex moral issue, and tho an extreme libertarian on most issues I faintly hope that the experiment will not be tried. |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Rapparee Date: 11 Aug 12 - 11:24 PM Let's call a spade a spade here. Chongo (born female and originally named Chonga) wants to marry his assistant. That's okay with me, as long as both are consenting adults. What I dislike is his camouflaging the issue, of not admitting to his/her transgenderization. But of course, I've guess I've come to expect dishonesty in politicians.... |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 12 Aug 12 - 12:22 AM Just like I've come to expect dishonesty, prevarication, and dirty tricks from paid agents of the opposin' parties... I ain't been transgenderized, mister, and you know it. I am as masculine as distilled essence of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Tarzan boiled down to 99 proof. I make Chuck Norris look like a gigglin' schoolgirl. I chew rusty nails fer breakfast and rip telephone books in half with my bare feet. I can spit in the eye of a rattlesnake at 100 feet and down a 40 ounce bottle of whiskey in 25 seconds. What I don't know about bein' male simply ain't worth knowin'. - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: artbrooks Date: 12 Aug 12 - 12:51 AM Is it true that "Chongo" means Pink Wuss in Swahili? |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 12 Aug 12 - 05:00 AM We should NOT be chimpist. IVF should be available to chimps if their human partner cannot give them a chuman. And vice-versa. Surely scientists could achieve this? Just think of the offspring's gymnastic ability! Just think of the future Olympics! |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,mauvepink Date: 12 Aug 12 - 07:42 AM I am not liking some of the speciism being shown in subtle discriminations against our nearest relative. Shame on you all! ;-) What I do fear though is if Chongo is right. The cost of bananas could rocket out of control and all the wars where oil is involved could be madec obsolete (a very good thing as we will not need petrol) but us find us fighting for banana plantations. I suggest the chimps form a pact now so they can get a good price for their bananas and teach we humans how to survive off the land without destorying our environment. Certainly seeing chimps as consultants of natural living would be an improvement on some of humans those doing it now! I support the Chimp Coalition as long as Sir David Attenborough can be President (he has, after all, done the most of any human to help chimps and we shall have a bank holiday in honour of Dian Fossey and her ilk) For sure a pact between Pan troglodytes and Pan paniscus (Bonobo) would certainly liven things up in any parlaimentary building. PG tips would become the drink of the century and all animal experimentation would stop forthwith ...oh yes... brave new world indeed. Bring it on! ;-) mp |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 12 Aug 12 - 10:28 AM Some of the habits of the Bonobos that I've seen on TV would most definitely liven up Parliamentary proceedings! |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 12 Aug 12 - 02:59 PM The worst insult to any Chimp! Bill, yer name is goin' down on the "special" list. Just wait till 2013.... - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Bobert Date: 12 Aug 12 - 06:13 PM Listen, Chongz... Don't go gettin' carries away with this species equality thing... Just 'cause you can marry another species does not make them equal... It doesn't... Just makes 'um married... Who cares... Now go back and grind your organ... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 12 Aug 12 - 08:48 PM I am glad t' see, Bobertz, that you have opened yer heart and mind and are now sayin' YES to the basic principle of species equality...meanin' the equality of their basic rights and opportunities. - Chongo |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Rapparee Date: 12 Aug 12 - 08:56 PM It's your hypocrisy, Chong |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Bobert Date: 12 Aug 12 - 09:00 PM Wait a minute, Chongz... I still think that you are an inferior species... I just don't care if you hook up with some trailer trash woman human person... Who cares??? You can't do no worse than Bubba who, BTW, is also an inferior species... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 12 Aug 12 - 09:19 PM Funny, Bobertz, cos I was thinkin' much the same kinda thoughts regardin' you. If you was to announce you was dumpin' yer wife and movin' in with a pig or a cockroach, I wouldn't blink an eye. Like you said, "Who cares?" I figger that anyone or anything dumb enough to shack up with you deserves whatever they get, see? - Chongo p.s. Rap? Go peel a banana. |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Bobert Date: 12 Aug 12 - 09:26 PM Well, Chongz, I kinda have to agree with ya' on that one... Humans can be some mighty messed up animnals... But the ones that ain't are way ahead of the best of the other species... Now don't go twisting that into something it ain't... You are still a poo-chucking organ grinding monkey and... ...I ain't... I can play geetar and can rebuild a carburetor... All you can do is grind your organ... Big whup... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Rapparee Date: 12 Aug 12 - 10:01 PM You tell 'em, Bobert! You lay the WORD, mah man! |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: catspaw49 Date: 12 Aug 12 - 10:58 PM I ain't interested in marrying your dumbass, fuckwit, self, but you can blow me.................. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 13 Aug 12 - 09:21 AM Or I could blow you away. With the tommygun. All I can say is, you must be gettin' pretty desperate to proposition me that way. Go take a walk. Bobertz? I hope you are aware that the old organ-grinder monkey stereotype ranks among the very WORST specist insults of all time. This means yer name is goin' down on the "special" list too. - Chongo |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Rapparee Date: 13 Aug 12 - 09:02 PM I thought monkeys existed just to be used by organ grinders. They're so cute with their little jacket and hat, doing tricks and dancing to the music.... |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Joe_F Date: 13 Aug 12 - 09:02 PM We can learn a lot about ourselves by studying the lower animals, especially those of our own species. |

Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Little Hawk Date: 14 Aug 12 - 12:04 AM Yes! And one way to do it is go to professional wrestling events...observe and take notes. ;-) Or NASCAR. Or Monster Truck rallies and Demolition Derby. |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: GUEST,petecockermouth Date: 14 Aug 12 - 03:32 PM don't know if this is relevant but for those of us who believe the world was created for our benefit it does seem the creator had a great fondness for beetles -there are over 220,000 different species of the things. how do they sort out which are the lesser type of beetle and which the dominant 'chosen' beetle? or are they smart enough to not bother making such pointless claims and just accept each other as of equal value? |
Subject: RE: BS: An even more complex moral issue From: Little Hawk Date: 15 Aug 12 - 12:06 PM Well, no...I don't really think it is relevant. Does it worry you that there are so many more beetles on the planet than there are of us? If so, you could worry about ants, cockroaches, and plankton too. ;-) |
