I really like this song but there are a two lines I do not quite understand (English is not my mother tongue) Can anyone help me explain the meaning of the following lines?

("..And I turned my face away And dreamed about you) GOT ON A LUCKY ONE CAME IN EIGHTEEN TO ONE" ...
