He regularly engaged in quid pro quo deals. Well, Michael Flynn was found guilty then pardoned, but his brother was still a free agent at the Pentagon. Had to see that coming. Here's hoping that some agent or military officer set aside a device without updating it, or made a hard copy backup. It would have been easy enough to do. Finding them is the trick. |

The Justice Department moves slowly, but it is moving. In addition to the Trump and January 6 stuff (there are several separate issues there) they have moved to take on the Louisville police who murdered Breonna Taylor. |

We can hope, anyway. I would feel better if Garland would give us some clue about what he's thinking. They're going after trump and his henchmen pretty aggressively in Georgia, if trump gets charged down there maybe that will get Garland off the mark. Who knows. |

I find it just a wee bit shocking that this one, the January 6 Committee, has designed its proceedings to drip-feed the most damning and least ambiguous testimony to the public, apparently in order to generate enough pressure from voters to stimulate the political will necessary to shame the Justice Department into acting against Mr Trump and his enablers. One Tuesday midday, the second is an evening session, I think on Thursday. Interestingly, Steve Bannon, who is due to go on trail for ignoring the subpoenas to testify, has suddenly agreed to testify, and he wants it to be public. And Trump has agreed to it because his "side" isn't being represented. I suspect Bannon testifying to the committee (make it under oath, please, so you can get him for perjury!) would be like several of those GOP folks McCarthy tried to put on the committee. Jim Jordan, for example, would have done his best to bollox up everything. Get Bannon on video earlier and offer samples during a live hearing, don't give the man a soapbox in primetime. |

It was informative but one of the witnesses spoke so slowly he either was visualizing writing down each word or has a speech impediment. Eastman had clerked for him years before. Often when attractive young women end up testifying before committees (over the years there have been many) they end up being treated like bimbos. I don't think that is going to happen to Hutchinson. |

But undoubtedly the extremists will. Jeri, from time to time I watch Fox just to see what they are saying. That's what I did for 10 minutes today. And now I see for sure where my one family member gets his 'information'. It was sickening, but it made me wonder if I would find it so if I were already convinced they were right. I HOPE I would know to check my facts, because in real life I am a big believer in digging for truth before spouting things that turn out to be garbage. But in a heated phone conversation the other night, said family member responded to "Please go check it out" with "I don't believe them. They all lie." With such a mindset as that, I see no light at the end of the tunnel. |

It was a deliberate coup or a dust up by patriots or a false flag attack by antifa and the FBI. Do facts matter to a divided country that can not speak to each other? It is a reasonable question. Mc Connell and Mcarthy railed against the riots the day after but have decided it was nothing afterall since. The hearing will last a week primetime. Watergate testimony lasted 51 days. Fox will not broadcast the hearings this week. They have their own alternate version. |
