Damn, damn, damn! Just seen this in the local rag and of course I'll be somewhere else!
Bert Jansch will be in the Cellar Bar at the South Hill Park Arts Centre,Bracknell UK tomorrow evening (Sat 3rd March)at 9pm admission £9.
I haven't seen him live since 1967 or 1968. Would have loved to have gone so I could report back to Rick and others.

Bugger! I'm in Bracknell 11-15 Mar so I just miss him. Used to be a good Folk club at South Hills Park on a Wednesday. Anyone know if it is still on?

Cheers

They've been doing some refurbishment, Dave, I think folkish events have been fewer than usual (judging from What's On in the local press).

Dave - I'm pretty sure South Hill Park Wednesdays is still going. I've not been yet, but from what I hear they're a really nice lively bunch.
I was going to go to see Bert Jansch, but didn't get myself organised etc etc - I'm hoping maybe he'll be somewhere on the festival circuit this year though?
That's if the festivals don't all get foot'n'mouth...

I went to see Bert in 1973 and he didn't turn up. Could there be a trend? Mike and I supported him at a gig in Lincoln 1999 and he turned up for that. His guitar playing was as stunning as ever but the singing had lost something in the translation.

Oops. Sorry RtS - we cross-posted & I think your info is more accurate than mine. I wasn't contradicting you - I hadn't seen your posting.
