No, no, Andy, the croaking one is me. Your singing is a lot more tolerable, but maybe you should concentrate more on the tin whistle - or concoct poems.
With the use of the liver you are utterly right. As the Greek poetress Sappho found out some 2 millennia and a half ago, people are different. Where abuse begins in someones opinion, in others' the right use is starting.

Prosit
Wilfried

Andy, I never knew you had leanings towards abusing your liver!

Abuse? Why was a liver built into me if I am supposed not to use it?

Always thought you were a nice, clean, sober Germanic boy :-)

I am not responsible for your dirty thoughts! ;-)

Anyway, how am I to know that when saying 'Trying to contact website' the b....y prg has already sent the posting off?

You try to make technology responsible for your faults? ;-)

It's a bit like Dr Jeckyll & Mr Hyde.

More like Andy & MudGuard ;-)

He's even been known to SING in England. :-))

I think "croak" might be a better description...

Some people don't need alcohol to get drunk! Green tea or music will do nicely, thank you!

Actually Andreas, we have a caravan and car - not a campervan.

We might be able to manage if we use my car rather than Linda's - five of us plus a caravan is rather a load for a Vauxhall Astra 1.7 diesel and my Peugeot 405 1.9 diesel isn't that much bigger. How much do you all weigh - I don't think we'd have room if you're all as big as Andreas ? Thank god the run through Linconshire is very flat - we'd never make it up the hills to somewhere like Whitby !

Anyway Wilfried, I've PMed you with details.

Linda and I are arranging to pick up Susanne and Wolfgang from Stansted on Friday morning and bring them up with us.

We'll still want to put our caravan on the site suggested by Doug.
I assume that Susanne will probably wish to put the tent thay we're lending her there as well.

Is Bron bringing her camper ? - what other campers are there likely to be ?

If there are enough people on site to warrant it, Linda & I could always bring one of our herd of gazebos.

Unfortunately The Good Lady will not be with me this year as she has a temporary job which doesn't fit in with the timing easily (sorry Wilfried...I know you wanted a rerun of "Our Town" but the Viking and myself will do our best...) and I won't be needing the tandem Eric unless you need me to tow some drunken passenger along!

I'll PM His Oiliness with my travel details so a Skipelf can help me from Hull9.

Wot instruments should I bring?

Fighting for Beginners is one of a series of workshops offered by Skip during the weekend. It covers fighting etiquette, techniques and tips to make you a more confident brawler. Some find the sudden eruption of senseless violence a bit exclusive and cliquey and the course is designed to provide a way into this charming and rewarding pastime. I have no idea how much he'll charge but I suspect it will be in the region of £57 not including accommodation. Just bring a pool cue stand and a long piece of wood with a big nail sticking out.

I'm still not sure if I'll be available for the cultural tour of Hull or not. Maggie and I discussed it and we said that we might give Moor and Coast a miss for one year. If I'm in Hull I'll be delighted to give you all the runaround (and I can cetainly use a few £57s).

I'm imagining a walking tour of the Old Town following the route of the Fish Pavement. If I'm not available there should be a leaflet available from the Tourism Office (under the City Hall) that will give details of the buildings on the route (I was involved in helping produce this leaflet when I 'worked' for the Council).

The route passes (through?) at least three of our significant pubs, Minerva, Black Boy and Olde White Harte. Anyone who favours museums over pubs (anyone?) can visit them (they're free!) while the others wait in congenial settings for the others to catch up.

Les

Oh no, no, no, no, no! Don't start the the stuff about the 'Helmets again; it near got Oakers and meself permanently removed from these parts.

Whilst bicyles are a splendid transport solution for the sessions, I fear the 26 mile round trip might affect some sore arses, and the two point seven deaths that statistics can prove we should expect might dampen enthusiasm for the ride home. Seriously, I was T-boned out of the cycle lane in the middle of Hull9 last summer by some twat of a driver who 'didn't see' me, despite the dayglo lycra, and I durn't fancy having Mudblood on my hands.
