This santa has had the sack. got the word for head office at cock-crow: my supervisor's been monitoring the threads and reckons my parcel just won't live up to expectations and Rapaire's gonna be a disappointed li'l santee come Christmas morn. I guess I didn't mention before that I was kinda on probation - three strikes, I'm out. And, yeh, I'll allow that maybe sending that sack o' coal to Skipy was a bit hard last year. In my defence, he was cr*p at his hints but he's a nice enough joe and it wouldn't 'ave killed me to give him some leeway. But I still think giving George Dubya "The Dummies Guide to Islam" was a perfeckly good choice of prezzie. Head office didn't agree, so that was 'strike one'. So ... the boys upstairs are, apparently, gonna take over Rapaire's account. THEY say they're gonna do a 'proper' job but I gotta tell ya ... I am sorry about the misleading information about his side trip to visit Jack and Skarpi I was getting the message second hand via a chinese resturant so something might have got lost in translation. The parrot must have held onto the thimble really well cause it made it here in one piece though the postman informs me that they have a policy about not carrying wild birds. I told him he hadn't seen wild birds till he had seen LTS and Lady Penelope when deprived of chocolate or having eaten a haggis and cheese pannini. Yours in best behaviour Meg |

As a matter of fact my lead elf (a girl elf this time!!) has just recently reported back to me that a box with your name on it was handed over to the postal elves a couple of days ago. It should - as I write - be winding its way towards the Orkney Isles. When it arrives you may open the box, there's a letter inside explaining how to progress from there. Last year's package took a bit longer into December to arrive from England. The House Brownies. are mad because the Irish Whiskey ration put out nightly to greet the elves had ended while all the local wee folk, my cat, and some stray wildlife that had gathered nightly to sing in my courtyard have had their revels suspended early. I'll have to keep things up, I guess to keep down any threatened vandalism or grafitti. I'm sure you gave me a wonderful package, but you didn't save me any money. The Party keep on, I guess.
