I belive its called "By Candlelight" the only part I remember goes : the most wonderful Christmas dinner was shared by candlelight , not much to go on but if anyone can help I'd be forever grateful Thanks

Roger - That's one of my favorite Christmas songs - I learned it from a Peter Paul and Mary record, it might be in the songbook I have at home if you need guitar chords. Here are the words - let me know if you plan to sing it in the Baltimore area and I'll come to hear it - I can't sing it myself without choking up.

And it came to pass on that Christmas evening
When all the doors were shuttered tight
Outside standing, lonely boy child
Cold and shivering in the night

Through other windows he had looked at turkeys
And ducks and geese and cherry pies
But through this window saw a grey-haired lady
Table bare and tears in her eyes

Into his pocket reached the boy child

I am glad I took a look at this thread. It is not "period" but I would really like to use this this winter at my run at "Dicken's Christmas". I suspect I am going to have to practice this one a lot in order to get through without choking...
