Pierre.....if you put..."This sausage is crap" into an online translator, the reverse the result, translating the result back to english ...u get "This sausage is talks nonsense" . Not the funniest reverse I've seen I'll admit but a reasonable chinese whine.

This September Knockholt deserves a vocal workshop this is a request by myself on behalf of all the ladies? Sorry women singers who attend. does anyone know who maybe be able to take it. Pigs ear done one workshop there is Brian and Marion but they do not attend and Im at a loss to know of anyone else who can help?

I think Thursday night this September should be Sausage night. After our founder and mentor Mr Keningham. (He might just show up on the Thursday if the Knockholt Sausage fest is honored to him?
I have been buying cheep Sausages at Sainburys which are equally both in date but bland.
But I have been digging holes in them and placing in me own fillers.
I have been adding honey and finger Chillies.
Lemon and Lime and Apple. Hint of Sugar.

The Sausages having been Marinated in a Chinese Whine prior to adding the above ingredients?.
I cooked them this morning and me taste buds nearly shot out me Ears they were Mmmm.

The Tally Ho food is over priced at £12.00 for Fish & Chips and to be honest I would enjoy it much more if I cooked it myself with all the Herbs and Spices.
If I cooked it myself it would cost me about £4.50p saving meself the cost of three pints of Larkens.
Or two pints of Kronenburg
or 1 pint of Kronenberg and a Vodka and Orange,
Or two glasses of wine.
or twenty fags and a pint of Larkens,

When I was Sea fishing in Hasting I eagerly exchanged 1 large Pollock
and two Sea Bass and a string of Maceral for 200 fags and a bottle of Blue lable Vodka the fish resturants will snatch them from you.

I will have to cook all the meats Saturday morning.and Marinate ,Spice and whatever else Friday night. Indeed buy the meats from Green St Green Family Butchers on the Friday Morn Every thing will have to be a half a day early which is fine.
The nightmare is if I do not I will miss the Saturday afternoon Piss up down the Tally Ho.

Oh No No No I cant have that If I start cooking 10.00 Saturday Morn, Four hour cooking time for each dish Then the whole lot will be done by 13.15. They can all sit and have a rest awhile Im down the pub and when I get back at 17.00 slow warm up.
I think I will hit the Bakers for some Yummy bread the idea of cooking bread after the pub is a silly idea.

I seem to remember a similar idea in the TV series "Citizen Smith". When Citizen Smith, the leader of the Tooting Popular Front, found he had been invited to a grimble party (one at which each real guest is supposed to bring the ugliest or stupidest guest, and at some point in the evening the "winner" is the person who brought the worst guest), to quote "a naughty urban guerilla put laxative in the punch"

PlC - I don't have gout, but then I don't drink red wine and rarely eat read meat, two of the most commonly know agitators. Suppose if I did imbibe I would have gout because it is closely related to same inflammatories of rheumatoid arthritis.

re the Exlax trick - same thing was done at my work LexisNexis so I heard. Someone was nicking people lunches from the fridge. Supposedly it was commonly known who the thief was. So it was agreed by all others that a tray of Exlax laced brownies with a few missing would be left in the fridge, with a note not to eat as they were being saved for editor meeting.

The culprit was caught. I think I was told same thing happened at Essex County Hall.

Back to Saffron - yes it can be grown in England and was in the nineteenth century. It's where Saffron Waldron in Esesx gets it's name. As we're on to the cookery theme can someone give me any idea what to do with 4 pounds of redcurrants? I've just made several jars of Gooseberry and redcurrant jam but I've still got the curranst and another 4 pounds of gooseberries in the freezer plus a couple of pounds of raspberries. All recipes gratefully received. Kevin (Clogs), further to tasting your lovely vodka's. have you tried making lemoncello, it looks fabulous, just needs 4-6 months to mature.

VT the Lamb and the Chicken I am bringing will be undecorated well apart from Lemon. Sage and Onion. Rosemary and Honey for the Chicken and has for the Lamb I was going to use Honey and Mint.
I am sure I sorted it out with Richard that it will be a Beef Harrisa Tangine this time?
There again it can be Lamb if he insists I just thought it would make a change in regards to taste having had Lamb Harissa last June.

Richard Beef and Apricots sound lovely does it not?

The cooking will all take place Saturday I think that what was arranged in the upper threads I was thinking of a whole leg of lamb and a Roast beef Joint and a Chicken. If I can get diced Lamb rather then A leg I will it will be easier and take less time. We have folk bringing sweet and Veg some people will do some bread and I will bake some bread too. Check out the alturnate Knockholt sight re the repairing of water pipe the thread is dying but folk still wanna help with repair.
Kind regards to all Pierre.

Experimenting with tagines - I had no dried apricots so left them out. It was not as nice. I still had no apricots, so I added tinned peaches, and reheated for an hour, and it was close.

It is also possible to overdo the ginger.

And breast of lamb is not so good. I thought it would be fine (and cheaper) but it isn't as good as shoulder.

Brian and Marion have a very superior caravan, but no, I don't think they have been to Knockers.

Brian and Marion Rodgers do some lovely harmony work - more straightforward and instinctive than the countermelody stuff that Capella taught us - and in some respects closer to the agricultural sound rather than the ecclesiastical or stage sound (this is a compliment not an insult).

But Brian has a phobia of dogs so care would need to be taken if they came.

My gut feeling is that what Crow Sister is on about is "harmonising on the fly" rather than the arranged set piece. Is that so, Sister?

I live close to the Rugby Club and returned today after a shop at the Coop and indeed the Rock sticking out the ground is one of many that separates the car park from the grass area that adjoins it.
I do now think that Annie and Faye were moving quite fast prior to impact with the rock and grounding the car on it? Clearly due to the Darkness Annie the failed to see it.

More or less the same Parlava happened back in 1912 when the R.M.S Titanic steamed headlong into a bloody great ICEBERG ?
