I just looked at the picture, Bill- thanks to whoever broke it up into smaller segments since the labeling seemed on the capricious side. Turned out I knew and recognized almost everyone there- even though at first with the long distance view I identified only you, Big Mick and Max!

*smile*...that, Ebbie, was my very first attempt to use a digital camera. I bought one, took it to the Getaway, didn't like how it worked, and took it back to the store on Monday and went and bought the one I still have. The attempts to crop were kinda amateurish, but there we are.

That was the 1st time I met Jeri, Mick, Barry...and a couple of others. I wonder if I can still find the original pic somewhere? (I never throw anything away 'intentionally'..☺ )

I cheated and added the photo to Bill's post.

In the first row, there's BillD, a gap, then Uilleand, Joe Offer, Max, and ??? [HELP!!]

Second row, Roger from Baltimore (when he lived there), Barbara BBC and Duayne behind, Charlie Baum, Barry Finn, {??? - moonchild?], and Jeri

Now I realize that the names are on the photo page, but I can't figure out how the names are organized. And I'm having trouble in the third row...

3rd row is Duane D, Dani, Vixen & Tim, Lorraine, then Jennifer & SongBob...and Nancy-Jean in front of Mick...and the Patons, of course
...boy, it IS hard the way the names are listed.

Thanks for reposting this group shot. In today's Mudcat dialogues, I was discussing "The Fox Went Out on a Chilly Night" and then found the thread between myself and Sandy Paton when he invited me to perform at Getaway 1999 (my first time). We had a great workshop and I am thankful for the invitation to perform.

Ah, that was my first Getaway, the first time a lot of us met Sandy and Caroline Paton (and the first time a lot of us met each other). I walked up to Sandy and introduced myself, and we immediately started singing Put It on the Ground - we had been discussion that song at Mudcat a few days previous.
