Subject: RE: If you've never heard Nic Jones.... From: catspaw49 Date: 20 Feb 01 - 04:29 AM I thought we had a thread where that came up awhile back, but jiggered if I can find it. Most recent one I saw was a year ago, but I would have sworn we had a later one saying he was doing OK and one day at a time still. Spaw |
Subject: RE: If you've never heard Nic Jones.... From: GeorgeH Date: 20 Feb 01 - 08:19 AM I think it's reckoned (by Nic, as confirmed by those who know him) that working as a performer isn't going to be on the agenda . . However the best story I heard of late (I'd guess it was shortly before Christmas) was when the Ryburn Three Step club (Ripponden, Yorks.) had Tony Rose booked as a guest. Amongst the regulars/organisers there are Pete and Chris Coe (no longer married, in case you were about to ask). So they invited Nic (and his wife) along for a Banndogs reunion night. (Banndogs was Nic+Tony+Pete+Chris). The report I heard of the evening was that it was a marvelous one, with Nic singing along nicely . . Cheers! G. |
