Has anyone come across someone in wearing a shirt that makes your eyes water, accompanying you in a different key to the one you are trying to sing in, making tasteless comments to blonde ladies about what they might do with a fridge door, and singing shanties VERY LOUDLY. Following the fantastic success of the session in the Endeavour on Saturday Scarborough Borough Council Tourist Office has taken the unprecedented step of banning Tyke from their area of jurisidction. They argue that sessions are never that good when old George (bless his loud cotton shirts)plays out of key, sings flat and causing Ocular damage to the assembled company.
For once the people of Whitby are in accord with a edict from Scarborough Borough Council which in itself is highly unusual. Rumours of rejoicing have travelled the 3 ridings over and there is talk of making it a local bank holiday.

Hello please could anyone tell me where I can find my lovly Tyke I have been looking for him all over Whitby. I am not finding him! I have come all the way from my village in the mountains to find him as he makes the beatifull music. I have been to visit the Black Horses and the Tap and Smiles. No one has seen him in the Endeavour yesterday I thought I heard his voice as I sat on the sands at how you say Tatty Hill. But he was nowhere! I visited the Wonderful Abby at Whitby and yes I thought I heard his Voice in the Abby but no he was not there. Then Mr Rbuthnot told me that you where looking for him on this Mudcat. How shocked I was to read the comments from that Nasty Reggie Trash. Please help me find my lovely Tyke! I'm only here for a few short days then I have to return to my village Please Helping me!

Hello there
I'm from Oz just backpacking around the North of England and someone at the Youth Hostel told me there was a dance. I've always liked a bit of dancing so I said I'd go. We arrived at this hall and there was a band of muso's playing jiggy type tunes. All these folks were dancing about in a kind of pattern and someone said to me, "Do you know how to do Kylie dancing?"

Well in two shakes of a wallaby's tail I was in the middle of the dance floor, lowering my shorts and bending over to reveal a nifty pair of purple lace trollies. Shock! Horror! The band stopped playing, there was a deafening silence, someone tittered and a woman fainted... One of the guys from the band leapt from the stage crying, "Stop, you've got it all wrong, not Kylie dancing, Ceilidh dancing!!"

By then my cheeks(?) were flushed red with embarrassment and shame. Seeing my distress, the Pom from the band ripped off his violently patterned shirt and quickly tied it round my waist. "How can I ever thank you" I cried. Shyly holding his guitar in front of him in a futile attempt to hide his holey vest, he replied, "Just call me your Tyke in Shining Armour".

We definitely don't want him here or any body else from Whitby. We have it on good authority that the use to go out and try to Harpoon Wales from their boy oh and that Tyke is one of the worst of them always going for a leak! When our favourite singer is playing I don't know the name of this wonderful singer but he has a growth around his mouth like a dog worrying a rat. Is there any chance you could send that boy down to Cardiff we would gladly pay his bus fare down. Oh and if he could arrive on a Sunday could he bring down a few bottles of beer for the lads like!
