A moth that can't ball is not a happy camphor!

If the Bourbons all die out, they'll Die Nasty!

Do REAL folkies use Acoustic hair dryers?

If there's no booze, we'll all be acousticaly "drying out" anyway, I guess, but, ironicaly in lusher surroundings, if that's any consolation.....

Maybe Sony Special Products can issue a Getaway anthology for the benefit of the Betty Ford Clinic. Or the Kennedy Family Campaign Chest....

I'll look forward to a hearty breakfast of a cup of tea and a bowl of Total....

If they're amateur-hibitionists, though, you might have a chance....

If they're ex-hibitionists....Awww...never mind!...

"Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat nationalities
From: Ebbie - PM

Bill D, - FYI: Alaska Mike was not the only one who brought wild Alaska smoked salmon to the Getaway the last two years. So did KT and I! Not only that but I think ours is better- done by a friend of ours who does the hest salmon in town - and Mike's salmon is store bought. So there. "

Can we all agree that this requires a detailed study to be performed at the Getaway, with samples from as many sources of Alaska smoked salmon as possible??

Mick,

I think that I can speak for the other judges in inviting you to our panel. This gives us 4- we need at least one more (NEVER have an even number of judges!).

How about the person who comes the longest distance?

BillD of course should be the Clerk of the court, and insure that all votes and tallies are properly counted. In addition, he should be the custodian of all evidenciary material, and that the study is conducted in a proper double-blind method.

Last year, Guam beat out Israel for the distance award, and we had 2 people from each of Guam and Israel. This year I know of 4 Israelis who are making plans.

And Mick--coming from New Jersey, you can get theere a lot earlier this year. It's a much shorter drive from New Jersey than from Michigan.

Giok--Is your mention of Scotland being a long way an expression of a wish to add some Scottish smoked salmon into the tasting?

Coming Into Los Angeles
Words and Music by Arlo Guthrie

Coming in from London
From over the pole
Flying in a big airliner
Chickens flying everywhere around the plane
Could we ever feel much finer?

CHORUS:
Coming into Los Angeles
Bringing in a couple of keys
Don't touch my bags if you please
Mister Customs Man

There's a guy with a ticket to Mexico
No, he couldn't look much stranger
Walking in the hall with his things and all
Smiling, said he was the Lone Ranger

CHORUS

Hip woman walking on a moving floor
Tripping on the escalator
There's a man in the line
And she's blowing his mind
Thinking that he's already made her

Coming in from London

Flying in a big airliner
Chickens flying everywhere around the plane
Could we ever feel much finer?

I have been asked to serve as First Chocolate Judge of the Supreme Chocolate Court at the Getaway. I am deeply honored, bearing in mind the proviso that "chocolate" in this context indicates a state of heart and mind. We are accepting nominations for up to 8 additional Supreme Chocolate Court judges. The only requirement is that they be susceptible to theobromine and have NO vested interest in any chocolate-producing companies, conglomerates, or close bonds or sexual transgressions with any representatives of same.

In the event I fail to arrive, court may be held by any number (greater than zero) of other duly appointed Supreme Chocolate Court judges. In the event no Judges arrive, judging shall be relegated to the proper seat of all power, the individual citizens present at the occasion, who shall share it as far as it goes to perform their ad hoc judging.

Candidates, make yourselves known!
