Subject: RE: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: Banjer Date: 01 May 99 - 01:45 PM Shows how much the sheriff knows, Hell living in a house with 400 cats AND KATLAUGHING together would make ME wanna run off with Paw, Cletus, all the Regs and the whole damn tiple band. Abducted my eye!!! Kat, if you're still talking to me after that, I think what we would need would be one of those industrial size litter boxes about the size of an Olympic swimming pool. |

Subject: RE: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: LEJ Date: 01 May 99 - 01:34 PM Katlaf- Don't tell me you are one of those Crazy Cat Ladies that pop up in the news every once in a while, you know, "ASPCA investigates a woman who was living in a one-room cabin on the outskirts of Casper, Wyoming, to discover she was keeping in excess of 400 cats, including several varieties of African jungle cats. This situation was reported by neighbors who had not seen the woman's husband in several weeks. His whereabouts are still unaccounted for, although inquiries are being made at The Neil Young Institute for the Permanently Screwed in Rawlins, WY. The woman told a rambling and disconnected story of his abduction in the middle of the night by a rampaging band of tiple players. The Sheriff's Department has the entire situation under continuing investigation." LEJ |

Subject: RE: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: katlaughing Date: 01 May 99 - 12:45 PM Cuillionn, don't listen to 'im! I love it and am getting better at reading the dialect, each time you post! Now, Rick, tune up those ears, no accent, indeed! What aboot all those oot, oots and aboots?!! Banjer, about that auto litter box; believe it or not, I am confessing right hear and now, I had one and we sent it back for a refund. It was rated for multiple cats, but, believe me, I did just as much digging and mucking about as the cats did, trying to keep up. Ta poor thang jist couldn't keep up, I guess. Now with my lil'o menagerie running it at its absolute limit, how do ya think it'd do HERE!? katlaughing and not scrapign the darn thing anymore! |

Subject: RE: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: Rick Fielding Date: 01 May 99 - 11:38 AM Dear CUILIONN, it's difficult enough to try and understand Heather's parents (who are from Hamilton and Selby respectively) let alone her sister who seems to have developed a whole new Glaswegian dialect all her own. Being Canadian, which means having no accent at all, I'm at your mercy. Must I get out all my old Alex Cambell records to understand what you're saying?
Have a good day, EH? Rick |

Subject: RE: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: katlaughing Date: 01 May 99 - 11:25 AM Okay, so we're both colourblind! I suspect it might have to do with it being here at the Cat, or that I didn't specify a font colour? Maybe Joe will wander in and improve my statis, by changing it, so's I don't look like a liar. However, it DOES work! kat |

Subject: Can we Lighten up a Little...Please. From: Rick Fielding Date: 01 May 99 - 11:05 AM I agree, it's a great thread, but it's gettin' a bit unwieldy. So if it's ok, let's start another. There needs to be a place for foul (and fowl) humour, for 'catters' to scream 'more songs, less talk, you eggheads!" For discussions on "ABBA", Dylan's song borrowing, re-inforced condominiums, and are we neglecting lawn-work for "Mudcat". Please can the next "cat" in, post the blue "clicky" thing to get folks to "can we lighten up a little?" Thanks |
