Subject: RE: Jacqui McShee Pentangle - sightings? From: The Borchester Echo Date: 23 Sep 03 - 05:01 AM Bert Jansch made a brief return to Pentangle about 10 years ago but, to the best of my knowledge, John Renbourn never did following the 1973 split. The present band has nothing to do with the original, apart from the fact that Jacqui McShee fronts it. Jerry Underwood who was in the line-up that made 'About Thyme' sadly died about a year ago. |

Subject: RE: Jacqui McShee Pentangle - sightings? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 22 Sep 03 - 07:06 PM Can't really imagine Pentangle without Janch and Renbourbe but Jacqui McShee's voice would still be a big draw for me:-) I didn't know she was still touring but I shall keep my eyes (and ears) open now! Cheers DtG |

Subject: RE: Jacqui McShee Pentangle - sightings? From: Big Tim Date: 22 Sep 03 - 10:43 AM Last saw her performing in the Cottier Theatre, Glasgow, about 3 years ago (with John Renbourn). Great performances, very intimte gig (they were seated about 6 feet away!), lots of communication with the audience, no superstars stuff! |

Subject: Jacqui McShee Pentangle - sightings? From: Hamish Date: 22 Sep 03 - 04:47 AM Has anybody seen Jacqui MsShee's Pentangle - Jacqui McShee (vocals), Spencer Cozens (keyboards), Gerry Conway (drums), Jerry Underwood (tenor and soprano saxophones) and Alan Thomson (bass and guitar) - in the last year or so? I love the album "About Thyme", but wonder how well they do it live? I'd be grateful for any first-hand views. Thanks |
