Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Tommy Makham From: Gavin Paterson Date: 03 Dec 09 - 02:24 PM He may played William Bloat on the reunion tour but it isn't on the "Reunion" LP/CD. It is on Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem "In Concert" Columbia circa 1967. But there is no chat leading into the song. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Tommy Makham From: Terry McDonald Date: 04 Dec 09 - 06:12 AM I assume the monologue is about the man knocked down by a Rolls Royce and claiming that he's so injured he'll never walk again and will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He says he wants massive financial compensation and will sue the driver for it. Tne driver doesn't believe the man is injured and says that if he does sue and wins his case, he'll have him followed 24 hours a day in order to prove that he is faking his injuries. The man says that's fine - you can follow me straight from the court to Lourdes where he'll witness a miracle...... I heard Dave Allan tell it on one of his television shows. |
