jOhn I think you're onto something here but maybe approach it with a more educational bias. You could actually demonstrate how to shoot or snare the rabbits a then skin them. They would love it, you could have a puppet show with the skins.

I've got an even better idea Dave, Penny's lurcher is with us in Beverley at the moment ,and it's a full bore rabbit killing machine. Why don't we bring the dog down to the hall, release all the rabbits, and watch the dog hunt them! If we lock them in,it would be overin ten minutes. We could place bets on which rabbit would be the last to be caught! Now how about that for livening up an afternoons tree hugging

OK we've stumbled onto something really big here. They want funds lets give them funds. We'll block off Cottingham Road and let the rabbits loose there. Ban all betting at betting offices for the day within the Hull boundary, allowing bets to be placed ONLY at the Church hall. All proceeds to the green brigade - sorted. To encompass all these wonderful ideas we need to spread our wings (whilst we still have them) a little further. We must dam the Humber with suitable oil tankers and local shipping I'll speak to BP and Shell, they will do anything for publicity, remember the Exxon Valdez. Following on from Super Teds suggestion of the Deep we'll get them to let all the sharks out into the Humber and let the kids go shark bear back riding.

For the adults when the kids have finished we can borrow some whale harpoon guns from the Hull Whaling Museum to go shark hunting and hey presto this keeps in line with the educational element - some of those kids will have never seen a harpoon gun.

I've spoken to Bob Geldof and he's very interested in the concept, he would like a few people to sing on his updated "Feed the World" record.

That seal curry is very tasty once you skim the 6 inches of fat off the top. Easier to do if you heat it up I find. For the authentic look serve in a polar bear foot and garnish with reindeer moss.

Why not branch out with badger burgers and fricasee of fox.

Many, many years ago a work mate who hailed from the 'umber area came back from a visit home bearing strange small black chips of an unidentifiable substance in a paper bag bearing a name which I remember as Krause (?). He told us that they were much favoured by trawlermen to keep out the cold. They were revolting (the sweets, not the trawlermen). He then produced something which he claimed was even more effective, the same concoction but in liquid form. Does this stuff still exist or has it gone down the plug with the fishing industry?

On saturday I will bring my wall paper pasting table and create a stall. People can donate items for sale from the stall and I will take a 'small' commission (to be discussed on sunday morning over breakfast; bearing in mind the 'free love' aspect of the green day).
