Subject: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Little Hawk Date: 22 Jan 12 - 11:16 AM Chongo has decided that his demand for an apology from most of the people on this forum was a bit too confrontational, and was likely to produce the opposite results he had intended... Therefore, he withdraws that demand unconditionally. What he wants instead is merely a simple retraction...a retraction of various remarks made suggesting that he is: 1. dirty 2. a poopflinger 3. stupid 4. antisocial 5. psychopathic 6. ugly 7. undesirable 8. ill-natured 9. illbred 10. lascivious There have also been remarks made that suggest Chongo is dangerous and violent. He pleads "no contest" to those. So that's it, folks. A simple retraction is all he wants. Let's clear the deck, okay? Post your retractions here and mend fences with a sensitive and caring ape whose tender feelings have been hurt and who only wants to get along with everyone. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 22 Jan 12 - 11:32 AM Okay, Chongo is not a dirty, stupid, antisocial, psychopathic, ugly, undesirable, ill-natured, illbred poopflinger. He is a hygienically challenged, unintelligent, misanthropic, mentally unbalanced, uncomely, incommodious, petulant, ungracious feces heaver. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Rapparee Date: 22 Jan 12 - 12:56 PM I retract it if I ever called that filthy, paranoiac, psycho-sociopath any of those things, even if he IS dumber than a rotted stump in a yellow-fever breeding swamp and uglier than ten miles of home-made sin. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Ebbie Date: 22 Jan 12 - 01:30 PM I agree that he is the antithesis of his keeper. (Although, on occasion, I have doubts about said keeper:) |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Little Hawk Date: 22 Jan 12 - 01:36 PM LOL! Your doubts would vanish if you could get to know me in real 3-D life, Ebbie. I'm harmless. The computer screen is not a terribly good means of interpersonal communication. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Amos Date: 22 Jan 12 - 03:11 PM Ahem...it is probably only fair to point out that Chongo lifted that reference from this post of mine this morning. This may be a tad unethical, as he seems to be claiming it as his own property...there may be an ethics issue here, as well as all the other sterling negative qualities attributed to him. A |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Skivee Date: 22 Jan 12 - 03:47 PM I have nothing to apologize to him for. I have always been as polite to him as he has been to me...hygienically challenged, unintelligent, misanthropic, mentally unbalanced, uncomely, incommodious, petulant, ungracious feces heaving bastard that he is. I stole part of this from Bee-dubya-ell , but I'm sure he won't mind, as we have a common enemy. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Little Hawk Date: 23 Jan 12 - 05:22 AM Chongo seems to thrive on having enemies. I believe it strengthens his own sense of identity. Come to think of it, that's true of a great many people, isn't it? Sun Tzu said "by opposing an enemy one gives him strength". This can be observed again and again in politics, specially international politics. The Taoist approach to life is to have no enemies. One does have challenges, certainly, but they are inner ones...that is, the things you have to overcome are within yourself...things like laziness, fear, a closed heart, jealousy, anger, greed, inattention, basically it's almost all fear in some form or another. Chongo is no Taoist, he believes strongly in having outer enemies, but he's also pretty good at dealing with many of the inner challenges and mastering his own fear. Altogether an interesting character! Had he had the good fortune to find a truly enlightened instructor in his youth, he might have become a fully-fledged Taoist Chimp. |

Subject: RE: BS: Chongo compromises, wants retraction. From: Rapparee Date: 23 Jan 12 - 10:04 AM I think "retraction" is the wrong word. I think "extraction" was meant. And I an no one's enemy. I can't fight stupidity, greed, corruption, lust, gluttony, pride, and the rest of the Deadly Sins all by myself. It is better to accept your limits and thus become limitless, so that you can create the Universe. I learned that long ago and thus became the Creator of all. But I'm cool about it. |
