Tech: spotify default

Every time I switch on, Spotify loads itself on to my desktop. How do I prevent this without uninstalling the program?

Hi, Alex-
Towards the left side of the top of Spotify, you'll see an "edit" menu. Click that, and then select "preferences" from the bottom of the list. And then at the bottom of the "preferences" list, you'll see a checkbox that says "don't open automatically." Make sure that box is checked, and then go somewhere else in Spotify - "library," or soemwhere.
