Subject: RE: Radio 2 Folk Awards 2013 From: Steve Gardham Date: 01 Feb 13 - 02:23 PM Just in case anybody is getting the impression I'm being totally negative, I think Billy Bragg's acceptance speech was spot on and the final song from Douggie & co was awesome. |

Subject: RE: Radio 2 Folk Awards 2013 From: Commander Crabbe Date: 01 Feb 13 - 08:45 PM Haven't watched or listened to the folk awards since the old king died! However, just watched it in its entirety on Iplayer to see what the fuss is all about. Julie Fowlis as good as ever as a presenter, then again I watch BBC Alba fairly regularly. I must admit The Award recipients weren't all that bad to be honest. Although I could agree with previous comments about Roy Harper but then again I'm not overly familiar with his stuff. Best acts of the night for me were Aly and Phil with "Mr Roloff's Farewell" and Dougie and guests' finale of "Caledonia". CC |
