Subject: Rick Fielding - mandocello From: PHJim Date: 21 Sep 13 - 09:48 PM I recall seeing Rick playing some very bluesy stuff on an old Gibson mandocello. I wonder if anyone knows how he tuned it or if he ever recorded anything on it? |
Subject: RE: Rick Fielding - mandocello From: PHJim Date: 22 Sep 13 - 09:06 PM I know that Rick had a lot of friends on here. Doesn't anyone recall him playing that mandocello? He played it at Mariposa the year it was held in Cobourg, Ontario. |

You could try PMs to some of his friends if you know them well enough. ~Susan |

Subject: RE: Rick Fielding - mandocello From: Jeri Date: 24 Sep 13 - 05:42 PM I knew Rick, but only for a short while. I wasn't aware he ever had a Gibson mandocello. I knew about mandolins and the Glen Reid mando-thingie. He wasn't one to stick with one particular tuning. He borrowed my fiddle for a while and kept re-tuning. I know he liked GDGD. |
