My folks had the record. I don't. And I searched for that prior thread but did not find it!

Help me, Ô Mudcat, you are my only hope.

There was another album from Folkways discussed on that thread, and I'm guessing that was the one Dick was talking about.

Paul Clayton was prolific, and recorded on several labels. There were several very nice Riverside reissues that came out on CD in the 1990s, but this wasn't one of them. I have lots of Paul Clayton recordings, but not that one.

Mudcatter Stefan Wirz has a very nice Paul Clayton Discography (click).

And Mudcatter Bob Coltman has written the definitive biography of Paul Clayton, Paul Clayton and the Folksong Revival.
          Scarecrow Press 2008

And here's a Paul Clayton YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqiohlzyUgOUjsmEKiGhyOA, This thread inspired me to listen to Paul Clayton again, and I'm really enjoying him.

There are lots of Paul Clayton recordings available on the Web, but not Bloody Ballads. Mrr, don't you have the LP? It's kinda fun to master LPs onto MP3. I did it for all of Debby McClatchy's albums, and it was a lot of work - but I was very fussy about it because I was making recordings for her to sell. If I just want to copy an LP to MP3 for personal use, it's easy with Audacity.

In the remark I linked to Dick Greenhaus said something about a custom Cd from Smithsonian, so maybe they could burn them on demand? And his own business sold them.

Here is the track list for the album:
It was on Riverside Records, which is now part of the Concord Music Group. I don't think Riverside was ever owned or reissued by Folkways, although there were a number of Paul Clayton albums on the Folkways label.

It's easy enough to convert it from the LP. It looks like that may be the only way to do it. I was curious and dove down the search engine rabbit hole. Here at Mudcat I did a search on this album and find you participating in a much earlier thread on this topic also, where, on June 17, 2005, Dick Greenhaus commented that it was on CD from Smithsonian Folkways. Here. A search for that CD turns up absolutely nothing. Good luck finding the digital version, or making it yourself.
