A Day on the Coast

I saw the news today, oh boy
Jeff Bezos thrusting into outer space
I hope he’s found his happy place
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph                
He blew his wad out on the way
He didn’t notice that the seat was wet
A crowd of people stood and booed
They hated Amazon
Nobody was really sure just what the hell was going on
I’d love to move to Mars

I saw the news today, oh boy
About a doctor who won’t get his shots
And though it makes his patients plotz*
All they can do is ask
But he won’t wear a mask
I’d love to move to Mars

        Woke up, fell out of bed
        Picked the ticks from off my head
        Found my pu-erh tea and drank a cup
        And looking up, I noticed I was fat
        Found my old N95
        Gotta keep myself alive
        Drove out to the headlands, had a smoke
        Nobody spoke, so I fell into a dream
        
I left the house today, oh boy
Four thousand visitors along the coast
And though they all were rather gay
They threw their masks away
Know we know how many masks it takes to fill Bodega Bay
I’d love to move to Mars
