oooooooh- Niamh Parsons and Eliza!! Rockin' pipes must be brill live, but thought the track was a bit long. I've taped the prog, and I think it will also be available "archived" from the Radio 2 site.

Eyup okthen! I'm not an authentic 'woolly-back' like you. I've only been in Bury for 8 yrs, born in Ormskirk but lived rest of time in Aintree & Crosby, North Liverpool. Where are you now then? Teaching too?
Looking forward to Liza on the radio- I'm missing her playing in Bury as I'll be at Llanstock!

RiS, I hope not, although the record company are doing the "big sell" on her! The difference might be that she can actually play her instrument? :0)

okthen, it's 8pm to 9 pm BST (British Summer Time)- does USA have daylight saving time too?

The above programme will be on BBC Radio 2 at 14.00 -15.00 hrs, Mudcat time (I think). I also think his programs may be archived- I'm just going to see what's available.

Just received this info. for the coming week:

Mike Harding
Wed, 6 Sep, BBC Radio 2, 2000-2100
Featuring the best in folk, roots and acoustic-based music. His guest in this show is singer and violinist Eliza Carthy, who talks about the recording of her new album `Angels and Cigarettes'.
Including a selection of tracks from the album and highlights from her recent set at the Cambridge Festival.

I'll post a blue clickie for the on-line radio 2 connection if no-one else finds it first.

Noreen
