Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Escamillo Date: 06 Sep 00 - 03:35 AM Two patches, and stickers for my Chevy Malibu 1978 |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Lonesome EJ Date: 06 Sep 00 - 03:00 AM No stickers for Fadac...he'll only put 'em on the stock of his AK47.Grin It's a JOKE,Big Guy! Nice to see ya back. I'd take a patch and several stickers. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: hesperis Date: 06 Sep 00 - 01:50 AM Snickers - I mean STICKERS, yeah, stickers. I'd have to budget for a patch, is that US? and what would getting it to me cost? I think you phoaks are really generous to be making a 'quit being addicted to mudcat' patch. I really need one, too. That's real kindness, that is. (Dya think it'd be covered by Health Canada?) Ohh, LOL! |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Uncle Jaque Date: 05 Sep 00 - 10:18 PM I'm a certified sucker for this sort of thing - at least one patch if you please. Someone mentioned "Quit Smoking" patches; how about a transdermal Mudcatter's patch for the Country - Western Performer? We could call it the "Quit-Singing-Through-Your-Nose" Patch! Worth a try, eh? |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Joe Offer Date: 05 Sep 00 - 09:17 PM 2 patches, please. Great idea, Susan! -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: GUEST,IckleDorritt Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:54 PM Patch and sticker please |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Susan of DT Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:36 PM It looks like a hit. We'll have to look into the stickers - the right paper and the right ink produced on a computr or sent to real printers to produce a big batch. the object of these patches is that we DON"T have to order hats, etc, because you can sew/glue these where you want them. dick tried some window decals last year that did not hold up well. does anyone have ideas for lasting window decals? dwditty also had a good idea of card sized handouts with the web address and some info to hand out to people. dick and I do this sort of thing, but they have our names and e-mails on them. we could print up several hundred generic ones if there is interest. yes, Karen, we spoke to the embroidery people at the Champlain festival - I have been buying their t-shirts for years (wait until you see what I am having them do for me). They go to Asia in December to have the embroidery done and come back in the spring - thus the once a year orders. I will keep a list and let you all know when they are available in the spring. Bill Sables will handle the UK orders, when they are available. Have we someone who wants to be the Australian contact point?

Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: RWilhelm Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:27 PM Patches and stickers. Thank you. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Helen Date: 05 Sep 00 - 05:48 PM seed, I'd need a couple for my harp cases too, but they are probably bigger than yours (BG). Susan, I don't think 100 would be enough, judging by this thread, but then again - will people who say they want them actually want them when they are available, so the quantity calculations are a risk, but like the T-shirts, you could sell them all year. I'd like to see the website address on them. When some of the Oz'Cats met at a festival this year we used a small laminated plastic card which we could pin to clothing, hats, bags etc and it was really good having an easy identifier. Patches (and stickers) would also be great, and more durable. re: tattoos - I'm sure I saw some do-it-yourself tattoo printing "paper" at the office supplies store, for inkjet printers. I don't know how durable they would be, though. Anyway, if you guys were really committed to Mudcat you would show your commitment by getting a *real* tattoo - no pain, no gain etc (sorry, sorry!) Helen |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: harpgirl Date: 05 Sep 00 - 05:10 PM two patches and two stickers, please...Lord almighty, Fadac and Seed in the same thread. I have died and gone to heaven. Hi guys!!!! |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Peter T. Date: 05 Sep 00 - 05:07 PM Patches, oh what can I do, I swear I'll always love you, but a girl from that place would just being me disgrace....2 patches for starters. yours, Peter T. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Wesley S Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:54 PM My thought would be to sew it to a guitar strap. Put me down for one. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Dharmabum Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:50 PM I'll take two. Ron. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Quincy Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:25 PM Well, now you've come to mention it Hollowfox...... we could have key-rings, little Mudcat earrings, watches......but why stop there, we could have monogrammed towels and bath-robes!!!! Just a thought.....*BG* best wishes, Yvonne |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: sophocleese Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:22 PM A couple of patches would be fun, its time I resurrected my patched jacket. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: folk1234 Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:21 PM I'd like to order one patch, two stickers, and one tatoo. May I have a choice where the tatoo is placed? |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: death by whisky Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:13 PM patch please + stickers when available..is there a kids version on the patch. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Hollowfox Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:03 PM Jeeez...you give this crowd an inch...You'd think they'd be happy with patches, but now they want stickers and who knows what else. Next thing you know, it'll be those flexable rubber magnets. And they'll want small ones for their refrigerators and large ones for their car doors (actually, I'd kind of...nevermind). Seriously, I'd like a patch, please. And remember to figure in the shipping costs; I'd hate to have you lose money as well as time on this. For it is written that neat little projects that should be no big deal always end up more time-consuming and complicated than you thought they would. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Eric the Viking Date: 05 Sep 00 - 03:59 PM Well I've got the badge and the T-so a patch and a sticker or so wouldn't go amiss. How will they get to the U.K? And paying for them? You could always ask Bill Sables as he is the uk distributer of t shirts (not that I am speaking for him)-just a thought or who ever is coming over for the UK gathering in October could bring several hundred and sell them there. Whatever. Cheers. Eric |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Kim C Date: 05 Sep 00 - 02:23 PM I would take a patch. I'm sure I have something I can sew it on. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Jim Krause Date: 05 Sep 00 - 02:15 PM Put me down for a couple of patches, too. I'm thinking of getting a gigbag for my guitar, the kind with backpack straps on it. Stickers would be nice. Those I could easily affix to my fiddle/mandolin case. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Robby Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:48 PM I would definitely take a patch. Let me know if stickers become available. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: GUEST,Hutzul Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:34 PM Two patches please. And the Temp Tatoo idea is great. There is a place that does them with submitted artwork. Seems I saw an ad in an in-flight airline magazine. "Your Logo Here" kind of thing. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Sorcha Date: 05 Sep 00 - 09:36 AM 3 patches, and at least 6 stickers, if/when available. Looks like you could get rid of 100 easy, Susan. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: karen k Date: 05 Sep 00 - 09:26 AM Susan, I've counted 37 up to here. I'd take 2 or 3. Stickers would be nice, too. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who haven't seen this thread yet who'd want some. Besides they won't go out of date, like a calendar would. Also, the price probably goes down when the quantity goes up, yes? I say go for a 100 or 150. I'm sure they'll go. Great idea. Are you thinking of getting them from the lady we saw at Champlain Valley? If so, they'd be really nice folks. Any chance we could get them for the Getaway? Probably not, right? Go for it!!! k |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: jeffp Date: 05 Sep 00 - 08:25 AM I'd be interested in a couple of patches, too. Stickers also sound like a a great idea. jeffp |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: RichM Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:51 AM I'd take two patches. I like the idea of stickers too. If they were available, I would take 6. They'd be great gifts for friends. Rich McCarthy |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Banjer Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:40 AM Put me down for couple of patches. Why couldn't they be glued to hard instrument cases with contact cement or rubber cement? It would be like a raised sticker. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Quincy Date: 05 Sep 00 - 06:21 AM Would love a Mudcat patch please......unless they're like the ones you use to help you quit smoking?!! Yvonne |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: GUEST,Fibula Mattock Date: 05 Sep 00 - 05:34 AM Soon I will have my wee computer reformatted and restored and I can then become a proper member, so I'd like a patch... |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Amergin Date: 05 Sep 00 - 04:17 AM I'd take a couple of patches myself.... Amergin |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Llanfair Date: 05 Sep 00 - 03:48 AM Two patches for me as well. Thanks. Bron. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: bseed(charleskratz) Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:28 AM Egad! I just saw a message from Fadac--I thought you'd dropped off the planet, my friend. I'm all for patches--I'd start with two, one for a hat and one for my banjo gig bag--oh, maybe three. I need one for my harp bag, too. --seed |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: tradsteve Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:17 AM I'll take one of each!... if we get stickers too... can we? Can we pleeeeeaaaaaaase??? I'll take out the trash for a week! I'll be your best friend! |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: katlaughing Date: 05 Sep 00 - 01:11 AM Two patches, please. Would love stickers and I don't see why we couldn't print them up on a computer. They've got the right kind of paper, I've even got some of the decal paper, so that you would put a sticker on the inside of your car window. If you'd like I could do some trial runs and see what ya'll (Dick and Susan and Max) think, then could run some off. Would only need to cover the cost of the paper and print catridges. Thanks, Susan, kat |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Ely Date: 05 Sep 00 - 12:19 AM Patches would be nice (I have cloth guitar cases). |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Wotcha Date: 05 Sep 00 - 12:14 AM Susan: One patch for a nice polo shirt will do great as well as one for the old concertina ... By the way, we need your help in Chicago ...! Cheers, Brian |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: BK Date: 04 Sep 00 - 11:28 PM Both, if possible, but in the meanwhile, patches for a start. BTW, found at least one URL for various types of ballcaps, (great place to put a patch) there probably are many more. Thanx, BK |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Fadac Date: 04 Sep 00 - 11:18 PM Stickers for the concertina case. Patch for the hole in my uh, A patch please. -fadac |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: campfire Date: 04 Sep 00 - 11:17 PM I'd take two patches, too (does that make four?) If stickers became a possibility, I'm sure they'd be very popular, too. campfire |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: KT Date: 04 Sep 00 - 11:08 PM I'd take two, too. Patches, that is. Great idea!
|
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: GutBucketeer Date: 04 Sep 00 - 10:56 PM I'll definitely order a patch, and maybe two. And while people are suggestng things, I've always thought Temporary Tatoos would be fun. If someone would only invent a way to print small quantities of Temp Tats on a computer they could replace stamps and wrist bands at concerts. We could wear them to the Getaway! JAB |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Musicman Date: 04 Sep 00 - 10:11 PM patch and stickers here too..... PLEEAAZZEE!!!!!
and thank you........... |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Giac Date: 04 Sep 00 - 10:09 PM One patch please. I like the idea of stickers, too. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Mbo Date: 04 Sep 00 - 09:54 PM My guitar case is made of cloth, you could sew a patch on it. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: Bud Savoie Date: 04 Sep 00 - 09:51 PM Susan never mentioned stickers, true. But she mentioned putting whatever she was hawking on instrument cases, and that reads as "sticker," since most instrument cases can't have a patch sewn on. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: catspaw49 Date: 04 Sep 00 - 09:43 PM uh....guys.....Like Susan never mentioned stickers. Although its probably a good idea (as are the hats we have never decided on), right now she's just talking patches. I'll take two....too. Susan, there shouldn't be any doubt that if the sticker thing comes up, they'll go like hotcakes! Spaw |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: bigchuck Date: 04 Sep 00 - 09:43 PM I'd like two patches. I also think stickers would go over well. |
Subject: RE: Embroidered Mudcat Patches From: dwditty Date: 04 Sep 00 - 09:40 PM 2 patches & stickers, here. Thanks dw |
