Wow, thank you. I am illuminated now. I wonder why it is seldom published, especially if it is in the English Language version sung by Marlene Dietrich? In the meantime, how do I go about recommending changes to the Mudcat database?

That's correct. It's not an "extra" stanza, but the last one in the (English-language) version Dietrich usually sang. You can hear it e.g. on the Cafe de Paris recording, which is out in CD. As mentioned on another Lili Marleen thread, I don't know who wrote that version, or why she preferred it to the one that was popular during the war.

Surely that verse, or one very similiar is included on the recording by Marlene Dietrich (Hope I spell well?)?

Some years ago, here in New Zealand, while I was playing my accordion on ANZAC day (NZ old soldiers' day), I was sung an extra verse of Lili Marlene by an old soldier. It is clean and was very well known by some of the old men. It is not on the database so I thought that I would drop it in here. Has anybody else come across it? It is as follows:

When we are marching through the mud and cold
And when my pack seems more than I can hold
Your love for me renews my fight
I'm warm again, my pack is light
My Lili...
