Subject: RE: NewFolk 12 Days of Xmas From: Devilmaster Date: 29 Dec 01 - 03:02 PM *sigh* partisan politics.... And I am not republican either....... I'm Canadian. And just like I said in a previous post, Bush's reign will be the 'What if' presidency. Democrats will never get over what they consider to be a robbery. Never mind that the papers continued to count the ballots and such after bush was finally declared. And they found Bush was still the winner. And the Towers would still be destroyed with Gore in. I realize this was done for fun.... but I betcha some democrats and republicans out there don't think so. That parody is a definite shot at the other side. They're very serious about this. |

Subject: RE: NewFolk 12 Days of Xmas From: MMario Date: 29 Dec 01 - 03:21 PM no - subtlety works as well - sometimes better. but what bothers me is it doesn't scan properly. |
Subject: RE: NewFolk 12 Days of Xmas From: George Papavgeris Date: 23 Nov 03 - 06:15 PM No, "Guest, DamnDem", you have to be a lot more foolproof than that for it to work outside your state. Half the things you mention have been done under Labour in the UK. "Poodle" Blair is not Conservative - well, not on paper anyway. I am with Devilmaster. I may agree with your sentiments, but partisan writing doesn't cut it for me half as well as subtle digs. In fact, it does damage to whatever cause you espouse - because it is obvious and easily defended against; so the well intentioned aim fails. |
