Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: Dead Horse Date: 10 Oct 02 - 11:20 AM Yeah, but what if you choose to go as Lady Godiva's horse? Was it white or black? How many hands did it have? etc. It's all too much for my poor simple mind. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: Leadfingers Date: 09 Oct 02 - 08:37 PM Is too much nudity an oxymoron? Actually I could probably be nearly publishable behind a G whistle. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: alison Date: 09 Oct 02 - 08:30 PM you see.. costumes don't have to be expensive!!!!! hahaha' thanks for the offer Fib..... I may just take you up on it slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: GUEST,Sonja Date: 09 Oct 02 - 01:28 PM Well, you could kill both birds with one stone, as it were, by representing a folk song about Lady Godiva! Or how about the Scotsman's Blue Ribbon song? ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: GUEST,Fibula Mattock (cookieless in Orlando) Date: 08 Oct 02 - 11:52 AM Well, I would like to volunteer some help with images - I'm happy to edit/fix/transform/whatever any images that need altering. I'm even happy to do montages! I work in a Computer Graphics group, so the equipment is just waiting to be...er... abused. Let me know if you need stuff done and if I can be useful. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: alison Date: 08 Oct 02 - 11:36 AM yeah I still fancy the "favourite folk song character / item"... and it doesn't have to be expensive costumes........ just be creative slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: Genie Date: 08 Oct 02 - 11:29 AM Well, Kat, there's already a photo of my old road warrior Martin here at the CafŽ. In the "Camp Runamuck" photos in the Events section, there's a shot of JenEllen's cat Bridget curled up by the head/neck of that guitar. Is that the kind of "artistic shot" you had in mind? But I think Alison's right about the logistics of dealing with everybody's instrument. However, with the aid of cyber technology, I might be able to depict the "Anne Boleyn" song without sticking my neck out too much. *G* Genie |

Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: Dead Horse Date: 08 Oct 02 - 04:15 AM You definately aint getting me to pose nekkid behind my instrument. I can just see all the comments about what I use as a beater! K.S.Anderson, Hon.Sec. Triangle Players Friendly Society. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: alison Date: 07 Oct 02 - 08:09 PM OK... send me whatever you think is appropriate.... jpegs please to alison@easy-pulse.com all you "nearly nudies" out there... feel free to continue... we might be able to do a "sealed" section".... hahaha slainte alison |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: GUEST,selby Date: 07 Sep 02 - 12:06 PM How about shots from festivals for example in August could be a pic of Whitby September Fylde in December is there one in Australia or Florida or other such warm places, Hong Kong has one I khow, when your part of the world go into the non festival months other catters around the world will be starting thier new season therefore constant sunshine festivals and antedote,s all year round.Hope this makes sense. Keith Looks like my cookie may want resetting. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: alison Date: 07 Sep 02 - 11:03 AM my problem with that is... there would be too many photos... and making montages is time consuming, (hence the does someone else want to have a go comment)... instruments is too easy.... therefore too many photos to choose from, and not everyone would be able to be included..... nudity was no problem........ there's only so many brave souls out there.... hahaha OK if not characters... what about depict a tune title.... then we could guess the tune...... the obvious one that springs to mind is the "alternative" name for "Banish Misfortune"..... *grin* slainte alison |

Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: kendall Date: 07 Sep 02 - 09:16 AM Good idea, Kat. Alison, YOU could never over do the nudity! hehehe |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: katlaughing Date: 07 Sep 02 - 07:32 AM You could do an instrument of the month, with as many photos as fit of Mudcatters who have that particular kind of instrument, for that month, i.e. all guitars and their ownees one month; all fiddles and their ownees the next, etc. (I say "ownees" 'cause i think that's about the truth around here...esp. those Martins! They aren't owned, they do the owning!**BG**) OR, just photos of the instruments with some kind of artistic way, in the photo sent to you, showing to whom it belongs. |
Subject: RE: BS: calendar 2003 From: GUEST,Sonja Date: 07 Sep 02 - 04:05 AM The only problem I see with "favourite folk song characters / themes," Alison, is that it coule be a lot more complicated and/or expensive than just getting "nearly nude." Have you thought about just doing a Mudcat photo calendar -- maybe with 5 to 10 photos (with instruments) per page.* SWO *Clothing optional, of course. ;-> |
Subject: BS: calendar 2003 From: alison Date: 07 Sep 02 - 03:41 AM OK... its that time of the year again....... and what I'm wondering is...... would anyone else like a go a doing putting it all together? I am likely to be pretty busy in the next few months..... the last two years I have used Microsft Publisher, picked a calendar program and stuck the pics in... it really isn't very difficult. if no one else volunteers I will probably do it again.... ALSO...... any ideas for the theme? so far I'm going for favourite folk songs characters / themes, I think we may have done enough nudity...... *grin* slainte alison |
