Dylan's version is HERE.

There're too many versions for this (see The Raggle-Taggle Gypsy).

If the version you want is the one by the Incredible String Band (IMHO the best of the lot) then I will post the chords for you.

Dylan's version is different.

Hi, Dylan - there are so many versions of the song. You have to pick one, and then we can work out chords for it.
If it's Dylan chords you want, Click here. this page has simpler chords for "BJD" than the one Masato linked to above.

Cheers and Cheerio for noo cos I'm at work
Dylan

BLACKJACK DAVID^^^

Blackjack David is the name that I bear
Been alone in the forest for a long time
But the time is come, and when a lady I find
I will love her and hold her, singing through the green green
trees

The skin on my hands is like leather, alright.
My face is so hard from the cold wind
But my heart's so warm with the song that I sing
Will charm a fair lady, singing through the green green trees

Now fair Eloise rode out that day...^^^
As Malcolm says below, this is Mike Heron's Incredible String Band version, apparently copied directly from the Digital Tradition. Please don't post lyrics we already have. Just post an excerpt for clarity (if needed, and a link to the lyrics). If you post lyrics we already have, then we have to do fruitless research to find out that we already have them. We like to help, but please don't make people do extra work. Whenever you post lyrics, please state where you found them. Thanks.

You don't need to copy and paste the whole thing from the DT; just say that's the one you're asking about if you don't know how to make a link to the file.

This is Mike Heron's re-write, called by him Black Jack Davy. The DT file BLACKJACK DAVID credits him. The transcription contains some mis-hearings; for example, like leather, alright should be like the leather I ride, and sixteen summers should be fifteen summers. There are more accurate transcriptions in this earlier discussion:

Boab asked about "the chords" for this one a couple of weeks back: Chord Req: black jack Davy (above), and Murray MacLeod has promised to post them.
