The Traditions program on Sunday May 18 should prove to be quite special.   Christine Lavin will be joining me via tel. from The Bottom Line show for Dave Van Ronk Day in NYC. She, some of the artists performing and donating their talent to make a posthumous recording that will keep Dave's music alive and benefit his widow. We also hope to be able to speak to some of the audience---Christine will be handling that---in her very special style.

Following that and some of Dave's material showing his varied styles we are joined by Jerry Zolten, the author of Great God A'Mighty--the The Dixie Hummingbirds. A history of Gospel music. A lot of their music and the music of Isaac Freeman will be featured.
