Much as I love the actress who plays Debbie in her real skin, I loathe the Debbie character, and if she's upset, then that makes it all worthwhile in my book.
Kate is another waste of space, and South Africa's not far enough away for her, even the Moon's not far enough!
I do though agree that somehow Rory will end up in Ambridge, maybe Roy and Hayley will be paid to adopt him?

AND she had an affair with Debbie's father in fairly recent years. However, I can understand her point of view. In this instance I feel really sorry for Brian who, with all his shortcomings has always been a pretty good father. To take on someone else's children is not an easy thing but he does appear to consider the two step-children as his own. No surprise then, that he should care about little Rory. The whole crux of the matter is that at some point before long, there will be a little boy of, what, five? with no mother. He needs his father. Interesting to see what Debbie's reaction will be.
Do we know if Kate knows about it?

My bet is that, in the end Jennifer will give in and take him

Difficult one, lad should be with his Dad if possible, but I can understand Jennifer's angst too, although for a lady with her history, wringing her hands about what the neighbours will think is a bit hypocritical. She also claims to be worried about what her ghastly spoilt brat Alice will think. Well from what I have heard so far, her response would be 'Cool', as that's about the sum total of her conversation.

You're right Gervase...I saw the photo of AdamandIan in the Radio Times. I had seen Adam before so he was no surprise but Ian was so totally unlike his voice I could hardly believe it. He looks something like Alexi Sale!!

I must confess, though, that when I saw the photo of Adamanian in the Guardian i almost choked on my toast - two uglier coves it would be hard to picture. Truly the love that dare not show its face.
In our household we're taking bets on whether Helen's Tenerife shagfest will be the harbinger for a story line on chlamydia (why isn't one of Lynda snell's god-daughters cslled that?), AIDS or pregnancy.

It looks to me like feuds start with misread or badly punctuated posts AB, as "Guest,..." is so obviously fond of commas, he/she appears to have put an extraneous one in after the word one in their post. However he/she goes on to say both which can only mean that he/she meant 2 people i.e. Helen and Ruth.

David flirted mildly and when confronted with the prospect of physical action, stepped back. Ruth made a profound and repeated emotional committment with a certain prospect of bedroom action before drawing back. David enjoyed a single stolen kiss, whilst Sam's grubby prints are goodness knows where. No real equivalence there I'm afraid.

The subtext of the plotline seems to be that the envelope for "moral" behaviour for men is much smaller than that for women.

It doesn't seem fair.
